Akane padded to his side with a sigh. "I will repeat myself. Why are you letting me win? You can't be tired yet." Her breathing was heavy for a moment but soon settled out as she returned to normal. "Lets just call it a draw then?" She cocked her head, nudging Dante with her head before trotting off again.
She pricked up her ears as the breeze picked up again... A frown spread across her face and her eyes widened. "DANTE!" She raced to his side once more. "We forgot about the storm! That was only the break in the middle of it... It's going to get dangerous out here if we don't get to shelter soon!"
She had completely forgotten about saving her own life, her goal for now was to get Dante somewhere safe...

[Ranua]

Dante growled, "Come on Akane, we have to stay away from the forest. if there's a forest fire...we're dead..."

[Solanum]

Akane bulldozed straight into Dante, knocking him onto her back. She ran from the forest, looking around for somewhere to go. "Dante, if you see anywhere we could shelter, feel free to mention it." She didn't care about the weight, or that she was tired, she had to save her pack mate. She growled, lunging forwards, not allowing herself to slow. She couldn't risk getting caught in the storm.
Her ears were pricked up and alert, her eyes darting around, looking for shelter and watching for intruders. They really didn't need injuries slowing them down because of an enemy.

[Ranua]

Dante yowled when she barreled into her, tumbling onto her back."What the-?! Akane what er you doing?!!!" he said in bewilderment.

[Solanum]

Akane growled at him. "Getting your butt out of here." She wasn't going to stop, but they were too far from their pack's shelter. She snarled, speeding up further, pushing herself to her limit. She dodged through the city, avoiding the debris as she ran. She tripped over something, causing her to fall, Dante with her. She fell forwards, smashing her head against a piece of fallen building.
She got to her paws, her face bleeding across the cheek and around her left eye, but that wouldn't stop her. She rushed to Dante's side again, grabbing him by the scruff and throwing him back onto her back. "Come on. We can't stop now." She smiled weakly at him, blood leaking from her wounds.

(( Thought I'd add some injury in there. *shrugs* Just felt like it. ))

Dante slid off her back. "Ok, but Id rather go by my own ability." he snorted, shaking his pelt.

[Solanum]

Akane nodded. "Suit yourself." She growled angrily, circling round and nudging Dante forwards with her shoulder. She growled again, shoving him forwards again. "Lead the way." She kept her gaze fixed on him, she was not going to let him get hurt. "We have to hurry before the storm gets even worse."

[Ranua]

Dante didn't like the way she was mothering him like this...first of all, he was beta, second, he was older, and third, he was the male here not her. "Csiu." he snorted to himself, padding on. His pace eventually quickened into a sprint, though he didn't look back to see if she was following. He could sense her presence.

[Solanum]

Akane followed him silently. She could sense that he wasn't very happy about the way she was treating him but if it kept them both safe then she could deal with it. Their safety was far more important. She sped up to keep up with him, determined not to get separated. This was not going to be how either of them ended their lives, she wouldn't let that happen. She ducked her head down, making her body more streamlined. She nudged Dante again, frowning. "Duck your head down, make yourself streamlined. We can cut through the winds this way."

[Ranua]

Dante did as she said, though he didn't know if it was just because he didn't want to argue or if he was too tired to. He slipped through the trees easily, maneuvering skillfully through the underbrush.
