Skittles' ears shot back for a second time after hearing the crack again. The young foal copied her previous behaviour and turned her head to look at from where the sound had come from. Again, nothing. ''Oh whatever..'' she spoke to herself, a bit annoyed at herself; surely her ears needed to be checked with all of these mysterious sounds she was hearing.
The flaxen stepped out of the shade; the clouded sky gave off little hints of the sun that was hiding behind them, reflecting slightly on her coat. The filly spotted her family still where they were located before her little adventure and Skittles flicked her tail before walking towards their location. She tried her best to ignore the sounds she heard in the forest, it wasn't worth it to get all worried over with crazy ideas.
Upon finally reaching the point where her dam was standing she grinned, a tad glad she had come back when she did; the comfort she got around them was hard to be without for even the shortest of adventures. Skittles spied her sire still talking to the sooty palomino equid and she could even pick out the trembling brown colt under her.
Being raised to be as polite as possible in any situation taunted her; as much as Skittles hated conversation with equids her own age, her decent conscious without let her be without a proper, nice welcome to the two. Softly snorting, the filly shivered at the thought of what she was about to do. But regardless she had to do so, so she trotted towards the three, trying her best to put on a not-so-frightened smile as she approached nearer. Once she was a couple feet from them she slowed her pace, first lifting her head to talk to the mare. ''Hello! I'm sorry I ran off, my name is Skittles!'' she whinnied, trying to sound friendly, hoping the stranger would forgive her for her sudden depart earlier. Skittles then turned to the colt under his dam's legs, and she too shivered a little, gaping her muzzle open to speak. Even though he was younger than her, it frightened her terribly. ''Hi. Sorry about running away.. I'm Skittles.. And you don't need to be scared of us. We are nice equids.'' she managed to spit out between random pauses, flicking her ears nervously.

Russet proceeded to make himself as small as possible. He dared open his eye and steal a glance at the filly. A weak attempt at saying "hello" back to the filly came out as a small whimper-ish sound. This filly just continued to scare him.

Skittles saw his sign of fright and backed off, flattening her ears to each side while craning her head to gaze at the ground. ''Nevermind..'' she said so quietly it was barely audible. The filly dropped her tail and let the plume at it's tip slowly float down with it. Although she was just as skittish of the other foal, she had never met an equid whereas the first meeting had gone so horribly wrong; she wasn't used to the feeling and that bugged her. Softly exhaling, the filly turned her frame to stare away from the colt and at the long blades of grass that were slowly waving through the slight breeze.

I chuckle escaped me ''Girls...'' I said before I shok my head but still defended the subject ''You only think it's stupid because you can't do it yourself'' I gave her a bit of an annoyed look, why did everything that girls couldn't do immediantly be stupid? Their stupid for thinking like that. But I perked my ears at her next questions ''Well a buzzkill is what your doing now, ruining the fun and all the happyness by being grumpy or just a pessimist. And what you do best is to be happy and random and to transfer that to other equids, but right now your doing the plain opposite. That's why I have heard anyways what being a buzzkill is''

Girls? What did that have to do with anything? Of course Hiccup couldn't hear his thoughts about it any furhter so she didn't question or get the idea he was classifying her by her gender. Which was not at all fair, he knew good and well she fit in just as well with the guys too. Why else would her two friends be colts? " That's only part of why it's stupid. It's stupid because you can just say things out loud you know, " Hiccup defended herself, replying haughtily with an air of confidence. Rhapsody's explanation of what a buzzkill was just made her shake her head. Of course the filly would rather be running about but she was too stubborn to let this go first. A sudden crack of thunder startled her, a squeak of a noise escaping her. Hiccup was never a fan of storms so she just shook off the surprise and glanced worriedly at the sky. It was storming hard in other areas nearby, the rain and mess was soon to reach where the foals were too.

I gave her a shok of my head ''Not if what your saying is a secret..Then telepathy is the best way to communicate. And ha! You just admitted that just because you can't do it yourself it makes it automatically stupid!'' I lifted my head feeling so very wise and superb but tensed up when I heard the crack of thunder and looked up before gazing around ''We better find shelter..Hiccup you are the one that have been wandering around these woods the longest, have you ever stumbled or come across a nice hiding place for bad weather?'' I gave her a sort of pleading look, there was no chance that I was staying when the real thunder show started, and I would rather not getting all muddy aswell. Yes call me posh, but there is no one who enjoys getting their coat soaked then filled with mud, not even Hiccup or my dad.

" It's not good to keep secrets, " Hiccup challenged, shaking her head. Honestly the filly had never known anything and kept it a secret, if she was told something and it wasn't good to tell other people she wouldn't blab. " Well yea, it does make it stupid. " She was rather adamant about why telepathy sucked, and not afraid to admit why. However immature that made her look. It was several moments before she replied to Rhapsody's question. " I don't know. I've been sticking to the stream and the woods mostly, " she shrugged, starting to shake visibly as another roll of deafening thunder followed a flash of lightning. Subconsciously she stopped her standoffish look and scooted closer to Rhapsody and Gale, not liking this one bit.

I flattend my ears at her remarks and was just about to give her one juicy reply back, but kept my head cool when I noticed how she scooted closer, clearly afraid. I gave her a loud and unsatisfied snort, this fight wasen't over ''Well I suggest we should go deep into the forest trying to find a cave or something before the sky starts to let down it's tears''
