XD with their manes like that I don't think it would be possible, I have a horse with a hogged mane and its impossible to braid hehe! But you could probably braid the tail?

The tail could be plaited but we could do hunter braids :D

But it also needs to lay down against the neck, not stick right up lol horses with short manes that stick strait up are nearly impossible to braid. Trust me, I have one and I have tried, it doesn't work XD I like the idea for doing the hunter tail braid, that way we can still have some of their tail hair loose

Yeah that's true. In the parts where my mares mane sticks up I just sit on her and braid XD but you can't sit on a WMEs so I guess that's true, I love the tail braid idea!

If I'm correct, I think I've heard that a short mane, very much like the zebra or WME, is allowed for a hunter. But I wouldn't know, but this whole idea sounds like fun! :)

@Convo - I have actually braided a fjord cross's mane before, it isn't easy, but it can be done. I would think that equid manes are a little more flowy than a fjord's, so in my opinion, it could be done. It would take a lot of yarn though, it would have to be done with yarn. But yes, fjord horses are allowed for their manes to stick up, they would have to be trimmed though.
