Oh, did you know her Gala dress was covered in beautiful star patterns? It was lovely!'' I trailed off, not sure what to say to Star next. ''Well, yes. A lot like you. In a good way.''

Shatter watched Darkhooves fly away. She unfolded her black wings and shot after him. As she reached ponyville she stopped behind him quietly. "Darkhooves?"

Darkhooves lowered his ears, avoiding her gaze angrily. "Stupid.. stupid.." He muttered, beginning to pace back and forth. "Ponyville folk don't know anything about magic, they're stupid.." He kept muttering, as if she weren't there.

Shatter laid her ears back quietly. "So your calling me stupid?" She was deeply hurt. Stretching out her wings she prepared to fly away and hide.

Darkhooves looked back, flattening his ears. Nice going, Darkhooves, he thought. "Not you, Shatter," he tried to persuade her. "I didn't mean you!"

Rage filled her black frame. "Ponyville is my home. They are my family. I didnt have a family at all when I was a filly. So if you insult my family, you're also insulting me!" She snapped and flicked her wings into the air flying away like a bullet towards the Everfree forest.

Darkhooves narrowed his dark blue eyes at her. "Everything upsets you, doesn't it?" He snapped back at her, wings flashing out and extending in anger. He watched her fly away and flicked his wing after her disappearing figure. He waited for a few moments, then folded his wings to his side, sitting down. What've I done?
