"And I lost both scents here," Larkwing meowed, stopping at the edge of claw-hill. She looked down the cliff, praying her brother hadn't seen it any closer.

[Dessy]

"He didn't.. ya know.. go down there, right?" Mistwhisper asked.

[Fichester]

"I don't know," Larkwing meowed.

[Dessy]

"I-I hope he didn't," she whispered to herself.

[Fichester]

Sunpoppy started sniffing around, making sure to keep an eye on where claw-hill began. Jayhawk craned his neck to try and see if he could spot any fresh blood or grey fur.

[Dessy]

Mistwhisper padded away from the hill. She sniffed around; she didn't find anything. She swept the area around her. Nightwhisker lept onto a tree, clawing his way up.

[Fichester]

Sunpoppy couldn't find anything. The water from the melting snow and the breeze had carried away any scent that had been left behind. Jayhawk looked around, seeing none of the cats were making any progress. He glanced back down claw-hill. He took a step forward, looking again for any signs of a cat that had fallen down.

[Dessy]

Brightblade sighed, then looked back at the hill. She saw Jayhawk. "Be careful!" she meowed.

[Fichester]

"I'm fine!" Jayhawk called. He carefully edged his way down the hilltop about a mouse-length, hooking his claws in the dirt with each step. "What are you doing!" Sunpoppy shrieked when she saw him. "We can't see anything past the grass!" He called back. "We'll never know if Cinderclaw did fall down here if we don't check!"

[Dessy]

Brightblade shifted on her feet nervously. She didn't want any cat down there. But she turned away, looking for anything.
