[center]Bearfur once again looked around the clearing for the other Apprentice who made up their patrol. He was ready to leave, with or with out Alomndpaw now. The dark brown tabby Warrior was sick of waiting now, and he was getting a bit irritable as he started to unsheathe and sheathe his claws. Seeing the young she-cat, Bearfur stalked over to her, anger glinting in his dark brown eyes. "Almomdpaw!" His growl was deep and only half full of anger as he lashed his tail back and forth. "Do you know how long we've been waiting for you to show up in the clearing?! You're so lucky you have such a nice mentor and patrol leader, because of that was me, the patrol would've left a while ago! If I was your mentor, you'd be in so much trouble with me for not coming to at least look for your mentor!" Bearfur guessed that it was a bit harsh, but his anger was growing bit by bit now as he growled at Almomdpaw. Lashing his tail one more time, Bearfur turned and stalked back to the patrol, sitting down next to Barkfur.

I froze in mid leap, claws out stretched for the moss ball. I fell in a heap of fur a "Hmpt," Escaping my lips. I looked up to see Bearfur growling down at me. I flattened my ears as I listened, dropping my head in shame. I blinked back tears, opening then closing my mouth, finding no words to explain myself. I heard him pad away and glanced up, my soft green eyes turning hard as I saw him sit by Barkfur, who was not my favorite cat in the clan. I glared for a second more then stocked and sat ridged in front of Bearfur, my eyes staring coldly to a point on his shoulder so I wasn't completely meeting either of theirs eyes.

The light brown tom perked his ears when he saw Nigthstream, then bound over to her. There you are!" Deerfoot spoke when he was just a few bounds away from the black she-cat. "Lightstar said I was leading a hunting patrol with you and Autumnfang." He quickly explained why he was there, wanting to find the other she-cat and get going. He already felt late, and the prey wasnt going to just sit around waiting for them.

"Go tell Flickeringflame you're coming or something." Bearfur growled, shooing the Apprentice away. He didnt care if she liked him or if she hated him, he wanted to get this patrol done so he could take his own Apprentice out for some training. He knew Deerfoot was going to take a hunting patrol out with Nightstream and Maplepaw, the lucky tom, but they haden left yet.

The brown tom watched as Bearfur chewed out Almondpaw. His yellow eyes were focused on the apprentices face until Bearfur turned and sat beside him. Barkfur could hear the annoyed tone in Bearfur's voice and he glanced at him briefly after he shooed the apprentice away. "I never fully understood how apprentices could be so irresponsible." He meowed lightly enough so that Almondpaw would not hear them and feel anymore ashamed at what she had done. Barkfur noticed Almondpaw's quick glance at them when Bearfur turned and walked away, he saw a slight sight of dislike but he couldn't tell which cat it was for at the moment.

I stalked away, my legs stiff with anger. I could feel Barkfur's gaze burn into my fur and I dug my claws into the ground. There's something about that cat I don't like! I huffed, my green eyes flashing. I can deal with cranky Bearfur but I just don't know...Barkfur ruffles my fur the wrong way. "There are just some cats you just don't like" I muttered to myself. My fun abruptly ended I was in a bad mood now as I padded up to my mentor. "I'm sorry Flickeringflame..." I sat in front of my mentor, my eyes towards the ground in shame. I didn't care if i disappointed Barkfur or Bearfur but I liked my mentor and I wanted her to see the best in me and I had clearly been acting like a kit this morning instead of finding something to do.

My eyes scanned the clearing and I saw it was bustling with activity. My gaze traveled across a few patrols but I was really looking for my grey furred apprentice. I had a task for her but I couldn't see her at the moment. I licked my paws and brought them swiftly over my ears, sitting a patch of sunlight and washing for a few more moments.

I heard and saw Deerfoot coming before he arrived. I had been watching the clearing closely. By the way he was bounding hurriedly towards me I could tell he too was in a hurry. I don't blame them, I thought through narrowed eyes, pretending like I didn't see him and was just sun bathing. I blinked and licked my paw, listening to the tom speak and then sat up, opening my dark blue eyes fully. "I was wondering when someone would ask," I said in a quieter tone, flicking my ears.

My sharp gaze softened as I saw my little sister get yelled at but I shrugged. She knew she should have been doing something productive.. I thought, shaking myself and standing up. I eyed Bearfur and Barkfur sit down and begin talking in lowered voices and then I caught sight of Nightstream and Deerfoot. My sharp ears caught my name being said and I padded up to them. "Did I hear my name?" I mewed, my voice interested.

"Ask? I'm not asking, I'm telling. Lightstar said I had to lead a patrol and bring you along." Deerfoot's voice was firm and his eyes glinted with a small bit of annoyance. Hearing Autumnfang pad up and ask something, he turned to her, "Lightstar said I was to lead a hunting patrol and bring you two along as the other hunters.The light brown tabby tom explained again.

Skypaw turned her head to Moonstripe. "Hello, Moonstripe." She mewed and sat in front of the she-cat. "I was out collecting herbs, but it is a lovely day. I love days like these, they are perfect for collecting herbs." She mewed and looked at the sky, then back at Moonstripe. She sniffed the air, trying to scent out her mentor, Melodyheart.

Flickeringflame sighed softly to herself, deciding she’d given her apprentice enough time. She got up to her paws and turned around to speak with Bearfur only to find Almondpaw. It appeared the she cat had been found by the tom and received a good lecture from him. The she cat was happy her apprentice could accompany them now to the border but she was disappointed at her obliviousness. She didn’t show any anger to her but gave her a stern look, “It alright Almondpaw, but remember to always pay attention to the announcements even if I’m not in sight. The patrols need to move at some point,” she meowed, flicking her tail before heading towards the camp entrance, “Come on Bearfur!” she called to the tom, seeing that his apprentice was already following halfheartedly.

Spiderpaw resisted the urge to snicker at the spectacle his mentor was creating by scolding little Almondpaw; letting his whiskers twitch in amusement. Sure he was usually on the receiving end of Bearfur’s snappy lectures but it was always funny to see someone else get it other than him. Although since they found the she cat that meant the patrol was going to move out to, much to his dislike. Yawning one last time the tom stood up and stretched out his long legs before following after Flickeringflame.

Bearfur flicking his tail tip back and forth, looking at his apprentice. "Spiderpaw," The dark brown tabby tom started, an idea working its way into his mind. "You have two choices on this patrol." Bearfur started to walk beside the younger tom, flicking his tail tip bak and forth again and again. "If you at least act excited and happy on this patrol, we can do whatever kind of training you want, hunting, battle training, skill training, whatever. But we have to do some training today so no one gets mad at us and forces us to work even more. However," Bearfur pause for a breath, "if you keep acting the way you are, you can just practice your hunting and battle training in camp with Leopard-" He stopped himself from saying his kits name quickly, trying to think of something better. "I mean, whoever is able to train with you while I'm out on patrol, but you'll have to stay in camp. Deal?" Bearfur wanted to at least have a little hit of fun on this patrol, and wanted Spiderpaw to see that patrolling don't have to be all work. The Warrior looked ahead at Flickeringflame and the rest of the patrol, his dark brown eyes flicking back to Spiderpaw.
