Jake dug his hands a little deeper into his pockets and kicked a stone off the path before saying slowly, "Well... Hm... I don't know..." He paused before deciding, "Well, it's not exactly a deep dark secret that I have, but it's a secret I generally keep to myself." He glanced at Dream before saying, "My parents are split up and there are times where it just seems they pretend to get along with each other for the sake of my sister and I even though it's obvious they don't really get along."

Jake looked at Dream carefully for a moment before softly saying, "I'm sorry." He wasn't sure why he felt inclined to say that everytime someone said something similar to that. He guessed it was just the way he was raised.

Jake cleared his throat, nodded, and then said, "So... Your favorite day of the week, your favorite food, and... your favorite, er, celebrity." He wasn't sure about the last one and so just chose a random thing that came to mind and inserted it.
