right now I am reading a book on Vastu, its an Indian (India Indian) form of Fung shui. I have studied hindu culture and religion all year this year, and judisim the year before, and B`ahi before that; point being, I have noticed that many many simularitys exist within each religion and within their culture. Why cant we see eye to eye? Yes there are heritics and people that try to push their religion, most unfortunatly christian. But they believe that what we believe is a sin, as I have told my mother a very devout methodist and several other christians including at least two preachers and they did not say I was wrong. In the bible god and jesus says that they have many names, yes. (this would be a yes for those of you not familiar with the bible) So with Jesus as an example with your trinity, If god has so many names why cant he have many different faces? Think about it.

I agree. I think we should act like the highly evolved species we supposedly are and put our differences aside.


On another note, I am leaning towards Celtic Wicca. I am extremely drawn to Celtic themed jewelry and symbols and the other day I was looking up a name for a JBD I am trying out for and I found my name in the list (Meagan). It was spelled just like the way I spell my name. It was a version of another name which means "intoxicating" and "makes men drunk" (lol). I thought it was really cool and finding it spoke volumes to me. (:

That was a great point Coexist. See the easiest way I've gotten my christian and catholic friends to understand my beliefs is this : I never said i don't believe in God. I just choose not to follow him. I also tell them that spells are essentially the same thing as their prayers. We call out to the elements and the Gods and Goddesses that we have chosen and we ask for what we need to be done. Its the same thing as praying to God. However, in my case, I have chosen more then one God to ask for help. Sadly not many people understand but the few that do are very kind people.
I have also found after years of study and research that most religions do have the same points. And you'd think that in this country we'd have the true freedom to believe what we want without being judged. I am not ashamed of what I believe in. I'm ashamed that I have to hide it sometimes so I'm not cornered or hurt. When I was still in high school ((i'm in college now)) My friends and I used to get beat up every day for what we believe. It sickens me that people hurt others over something so stupid.

It depends on the people you have in the circle. With the people I call my brothers and sisters, when we gather for spellwork ((which is rare)) it feels... like home. Like I belong. Like I'm safe. And the energy... To me it feels like... I can feel all of our hearts beating at different rhythms but then they all become one. Its incredible. My heart starts to race but its not from fear. Its from the energy around us. We did a Samhain ((halloween)) ritual once and I actually broke down and cried at the end because I've never felt that much joy or love in my heart before. It's an amazing experience.

it sounds like an awesome experiance, one I would like to attend one day with people that do not make me nervous. the only time I attended circle was at a pagans in the park and for some reason I felt very ill at ease there.

another fun fact? More then 95% of the worlds known religions follow the golden rule.

yea its funny how they all follow the same rules but they can't see eye to eye.
and it's truly incredible. but you have to trust the people you're doing it with 100%. like the people i practice with, i've known for at least 5 years. i'd gladly die for them. i love them that much.

Yes. It likly means something, you should look into yourself first and what hawk meand to you. Then look at the 'mythology' of hawk and related meanings as well as hawks typical behaviours.

out of the sources I only found one specificly for hawk (a dream dictionary .of all things. )

"Bright prospects are forecast if the hawk was flying; otherwise you must be prepared to sit out a period of gloomy boredom."

(I don't realy like the book, but maby it ^ will mean somethin' to you)

do you have a spirit animal, a guide on your road when you dream, meditate, or astral plane (not that I can do this but). Perhaps the Hawk is trying to tell you that it is your spirit animal, or that you and it are basically one, I agree that you should look into meanings but dont just look into ones that would stay within wiccan teachings although if I remember correctly that would be artemis telling you to pay attention maybe calling you to her.

same thing happens with me and ravens and crows. don't fear it. accept it. embrace it. try to figure out what they want. maybe they just want to be with you. there are many reasons why.
