Faye and Jain

She felt the presence before she ever saw it--or her, is it turned out--Faye paused in her gathering, a small log clenched firmly in her jaw. She turned her head, but with her mouth full she could only grunt.

Jain tossed a look back over her shoulder to glare at the dragon, but paused when she saw the expression on Faye's face. Someone was there in the woods besides the two of them. She turned the knife in her hand, every muscle tensed and ready to strike should the need arise. Her sister wasn't growling, so whoever was near couldn't be evil, but, better safe than sorry. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. A moment after she adjusted her grip on her hunting knife, there was movement.

"Hi..." The girl coughed, a pitiful sound coming from someone so small. With the scruffed hair she looked like she'd been through a bit of an ordeal, and the fact that she carried no supplies was worrisome. Perhaps she lived nearby? There weren't any villages that Jain knew of...Her eyes widened at the thought...with the Curse, it was likely that anyone she met would be afraid of--or even try to kill--Faye. The girl didn't seem disturbed by the massive creature standing just a few yards away...hm...

Jain cocked her head to one side, looking the girl over. What harm could she do? She smiled. "Hello, there. Are you hungry? My sister and I were just preparing something to eat. There's plenty, if you'd like some."

"Kinda... Its hard to hunt with no weapons.... I've been just eating the wild plants I could find for the past few weeks.... Could I just have a taste?" She said in her weak voice, lying. She would say a short part, then pause, taking a deep breath, making her sound dizzy headed. She conned people all the time, and would feel bad, so she never asked for much. Lilly, being so focused on lying, just noticed Jain. She wanted to reach for her knife, out of fear, but knew it'd be suspicious, since she just said she had no weapons. "You're friend..." she said looking at the dragon, "Shes nice?" Lilly said, acting like a curious little kid. Be to truthful, she WAS curious. The long horns made Jain look exotic, since she'd never seen one with such a set. Lilly played with her hands behind her back, fiddling with them like a child. Doing this really made Lilly feel the pains from not eating and her past. She never told Sia, but she originally came from a large country much more north then this. However when her mother was killed by a bear, she ran off here. So acting like a child brought back the memories of picking berries with her mother, someone she longs for each night.

Faye and Jain

"Faye is my sister, more-or-less." Jain tore a piece of meat from the carcass, spearing it with her hunting knife and holding it in the fire the dragon had started with a puff of her hot breath. "So long as you do no harm to us, neither she nor I will harm you."

Faye warbled and reached for the buck, effortlessly removing an entire rear leg and devouring it raw. Her golden eyes scanned over the newcomer. Finally swallowing, she turned to Jain, giving her a look, eyes darting back over to the small girl.

Jain patted her snout and whispered for only her to hear. "Yes, I know. I'll be careful. Something doesn't seem entirely right. I know you can judge better than I, is she hiding anything from us? Blink once for no, twice for yes."

Two blinks.

"Any idea what?"

One blink.

The piece of meat on her knife now cooked, she deftly tossed it to the waiting girl. "If you need more, just ask." She flashed another warm smile. So long as the child was no danger to them, she could hide what she wanted, though it was nice to know she wasn't being entirely open with them. She could understand that, though. They were complete strangers, after all.

Finally some good food to eat... They walked, ran and flew a lot around the forest to find something for both of them to eat. After their hunt they brought the food to a safe place where anyone could stop them to eating or steal the food. It took so long to waste all the time and efforts for other animals. In a big and high rock they regained forces and ate their food slowly. They weren't very tired to need a small rest while everything was peaceful and quiet. What you wanna do today? It's a peaceful day to fly around the forest and feel the freedom. Amor asked to Shadow Angel. She didn' know very well what to do at that time, they ate the food not pretty much time ago... Could we just walk and see what's happening around here? It was everything she wanted to do... Amor hasn't any defined thing to do so it was what they did - a big walk over the forest, visiting every friends and see what was new there. They walked by the forest under the big trees. Shadow Angel heard some unusual voices a bit far from there. he didn't know them so she and Amor went closer to see who was talking... They still didn't recognize those voices.They stared hearing them, trying to understand who they were from. Shadow angel gave a step to the side and hit unconsciously a small stick that was on the floor that broke and made some noise...

Wing whipped around the large dragon, meanwhile, Midnight leaped from the dusty forest bed to the trees high above. After many hours of walking, he thought he felt a small itch on his back. Rubbing against a tree, his back tinkled, as if a large cut was cut deep into the flesh. Midnight remembered his latest battle, a large purple dragon had teased his White pelt. After showing off, he offered him to a fight, and being Midnight, he accepted. He still remembered his shriek as large talons ripped through his flesh, searing the protective sca,Ew.

Roary awakened again, just to find that he was still buried under the old house's ruins. He dragged himself up, taking care not to let his legs get torn off. "Come on, Teddy..." Roary picked up the small bear in his mouth, then dropped it and had a coughing fit from the dust. Another pile of wood from the roof fell. "There goes our hopes of escape, Teddy..." Somebody help us... Roary thought, before he went limp and slept once more.

Midnight came upon a collapsed house, powerfully scratching the top tiles off. Inside, he thought he heard rustling.. Tearing the hollowed, what was left of it, roof apart, upwards. Inside, he saw a small teddy bear. Reaching out to touch the soft fabric, he froze as soon as he heard a fit of coughing. He waited until the dragon was soundly asleep before investigating him.
