Mistystream sat happily below the rock, looking up her new leader, and her former one. It was a shame that Blazefeather had decided to retire to the elder's den, she was a great leader, though Darkstar would be just as great. As she began to chant his name, it dawned on her that he would now have to choose a new deputy. Her tail quivered in excitment as she wondered who he'd pick.
Russetpaw sat next to her brothers, Firepaw and Rootpaw. Although all three were already apprentices, not one of them had a mentor. They had been shifted from one warrior to the next in order to get their training, and all they wanted was a mentor of their own. Russetpaw glanced uneasily at Firepaw, who was starring up the the High Rock hopefully, whilst Rootpaw reflected her doubtful gaze.
Zinniapaw kneaded uneasily at the ground with her forepaws, and starred down at them. She admired Blazestar, and it felt as if she had been torn away from the Clan. She's not dead, She had to remind herself. She's still here. She's not dead.
