Serena awaked from her restless sleep a while later. Maybe the girl was even more exhausted as before her sleep but at this moment she didnt care. Brushing the dry tears of her cheeks, the princess sat up and raked a hand through her hair, sighing softly. She bit her lip insecurely, wondering if her parents had already decided about her future.

Arabella sighed and stood up, looking for Maria. She walked around the garden looking for the maid. "Where did she go to?" Arabella mused aloud. She looked up and watched a few streaky clouds move slowly across the sky. The world still turns, not all is lost,she thought.

The King and Queen of Elyadon and the King and Queen of Avalon have decided upon the fate of Eldea. They hereby proclaim that there shall be only one marriage to tie the two kingdoms together. Prince Kaleb Kasey Carter and Princess Serena Alice Jones shall be wed in two months time, on the eve of Christmas day. There shall be no more changes to the treaty.

The Kings sent out their personal messengers to their children, bidding them only to read it to the royal heirs. The message was sent out to privately, the scroll read once it found its recipient, then rolled back into a column. It wouldn't harm any normal citizen if they read it, but the kings and queens wanted it to be a pleasant surprise. After announcing Aiden's death, they would need something pleasant to show the kingdom. It was true, the wedding ran into the period of mourning for the fallen prince, but Christmas Eve was the day the fates would shine down on them all.

Not even two minutes later, somebody knocked on the door of Serena's room. She gave the person permission to enter and soon found out it was the messenger. She bit her lip again as she listened towards the messenger and a smile lit up her face as she heard the news. They had gotten permission! She was going to marry KC! Joy welmed over her for a moment as she thanked the messenger before standing up. Serena exited her room after the messenger, only to find KC as she she wandered through the halls. She just needed to give him a hug right now.

Crystal blushed and felt a warm buzzing inside her. She bit her lip with a smile "Absolutely wonderful my darling, and may i as how was your duties today?" she giggled a bit. She looked down shyly at her feet, then her hair fell over her eye again "Oh", she pulledit behind her ear again. She wished she could be with him forever, then she sighed and frowned, then she glanced up at him and smiled again "Guess what?" she asked him trying to make him not ask her why she frowned.

Kaleb had fell into a fitful sleep after entering his chambers and falling onto his bed. Hensley, not the Princes' official servant but his personal servant, awakened Kaleb with a few nudges. Groaning and shaking his head in discomfort, the prince sat up. "A messenger has come, sire. He says he brings important news. Shall I let him in?" the servant asked. Feeling a bit more awake now, the prince ran a nervous hand through his hair and took a deep breath. This was it.

"Bring him in." Hensley opened the chamber door, waving in a tall man with a red beard. Kaleb listened carefully as the messenger read the exact words his parents and Serena's parents had put together. A huge grin slowly crept across his face as the man finished reading. Kaleb jumped off of his mattress and hugged Hensley, then the messenger. The bearded man stepped back in surprise, then awkwardly detached himself from the prince.

After a bit of effort, Serena managed it to find KC's room. Or well, she knew where the room was, but the girl was too happy and relieved at this moment to realize there was a big chance KC was in his room, which caused her to search half of the palace. Biting her lip nervously, she knocked on the giant door, still wanting to be polite before flying into his room. Maybe KC was just changing and that would make a very awkward scene. Serena also wondered if she hadn't made a mistake. If she stood in front of Zerrick's room accidently, the situation would also be rather awkward. Impatiently she waited for KC to reply, as every second seemed like an hour for the princess.
