What kind of fur/material would be good for a short-haired animal? I was thinking that kind of fabric used on plushies (that soft material that is kinda like short fur) would work but a second opinion would be nice. I was thinking either that or getting regular fur and shaving it down a decent bit. What is overall a better option, or are there other things that are better to make short fur with?

I'm planning on making a partial of my thylacine fursona in case you're wondering.

it's alright to ask questions right? .3.

So considering fursona's how do you know which animal/thing to choose? Would it be easier to just 'borrow' features from a bunch of animals to create something different? Or research an animal and see what suits you?

My demon-sona is my own species, called a Hantane. She's a demon cat, with long, course, dark grey-brown fur, very long legs (like a greyhound's) and a very thin torso (also greyhound) but the rest of her is catlike, except her face structure, which is slightly based off a version of the Chupacabra. Her face is more catlike and her muzzle is shorter, but it is all white scales and she has no lips. She only has two large fangs on each jaw, though.

All in all, you basically just add/take away whatever features you like.

And yeah, sonas are very leneint, and they can be whatever you want! My 2 sonas are both male and I'm a girl. XD SO yes, go with WHATEVER fits best.
