Besides, as fun as chasing down a missing family member might be, he had a feeling that his mentor and leader wouldn't approve. Better to just stick to hunting. "You sound so enthusiastic about it." the silver tom grinned sarcastically at Bonestar, darting past the bigger tom so he was nearly standing in the camp entrance. "So can we go now?"

Axel glowered back at the she-cat, taking yet another step back as she came only closer to him. One more pawstep and he'd be on the border, and he didn't trust his luck to say she wouldn't maul him if she had the slightest reason to. Eventually though, he conceded it was his best bet at finding anything out.. maybe even getting something to eat. Much as he disliked charity, being hungry only made him that much worse of a hunter. He wasn't so proud that he'd starve over it. "If I can follow you at a distance, I'll come." He didn't trust her not to bite his ears off the second he stepped over the border. At least if she tried anything from a distance, he'd have time to bolt.

Mintfur could hear Hawkpaw going for the mouse. He waited, and then the apprentice came back with the prey. Mintfur raised his head up to the sky. "Thank you StarClan." He said before looking back at the mouse. "That was good Hawkpaw. Would you like to share this mouse with me?" He asked. Mintfur took a bite and they nudged it to the apprentice, offering him a bite. Mintfur was going to see how close Hawkpaw was to StarClan. "Now, lets get on with what I am to teach you." Mintfur said once the mice was eaten. He pulled himself up to a sitting position. "Tell me what you see." he told the young tom. Mintfur had only asked this question to his apprentice who he felt could answer it from the way they truly saw it. There were many ways to answer it. That would tell him how that cat viewed the world. Just in a simply what they saw.

Hawkpaw looked at the elder, noticing how he thanked StarClan. His old mentor had always snapped at him when he mentioned StarClan. He never knew why, but it seemed like his old mentor had something against StarClan. He gave a small shrug to himself and copied Mintfur, "Thank you, StarClan." The young tom mewed, curling his tail neatly around his paws. Hawkpaw looked up at the Mintfur as he mentioned sharing the mouse, "You sure? I g-guess it's alright." He said, taking a bit out of the mouse, the warm meat filling his belly. The tabby's ears perked up, "Alright." He once more copied Mintfur's posture, his tail flicking. "I see the forest, flowers, and the sunlight." His ears twitched slightly, "But I see... energy. Like the energy that keeps our warriors protecting our clan."
