Aria was standing alone in the ball room when she heard someone silence the crowd, at first she couldn't tell who it was, but when people started making room for the myserious person she realized it no one other then her younger brother KC. Now that Aria knew it was her brother speaking, she silenced the people that were still talking, and listened carefully to what KC had to say. I wonder what KC has to say, I hope the festival isn't over yet, I just got hereAria thought to herself, but when he brother had indeed told everyone that the festival was done, and they had to leave the castle Aria sighed, she was hoping on having some fun tonight. Aria heard her name being called so she followed the voice, it was her brother KC, she ran up to him and was about to ask him what was going on when he had grabbed her arm and instructed her that there was a family meeting they had to attend to. did something bad happend KC? why are we meeting with Elydon? Aria said, following her brother wherever he was taking her.

The prince hoped his other siblings had gotten his message and were already at the meeting. He and Aria were already late. "I'll give you a quick briefing, Aria. One of the Elyadon princes has.. passed." he said quietly as they swept down the hall. He glanced out of a passing window, not surprised to find that the sky had already begun to glow. He hurried down the hall, pausing in front of the conference room to pull himself together. Motioning at his older sister, Prince Kaleb slowly entered the quiet room. He stepped onto the deep blue carpet that ran through the U of chairs. As was proper, he paused to bow to the Elyadon monarchs, then his parents. They nodded solemnly, their eyes turning to his sister.

Kaleb took a seat next to his older brother, Alexander. They were seated next to their father, who sat poised on his throne. "Or perhaps, brother, it's something more serious than 'some petty royal tension'." he muttered quietly, knowing the truth. His gaze flicked across the room to Serena, his eyes searching. He hoped she could make it through the meeting.

Tristan almost sagged in relief when Kaleb and Aria entered the conference room, but then remembered they were still missing one princess. Princess Dimari. His eyes turned to Kaleb, questioning. The prince shrugged in return, running a hand through his hair and glancing to toward the carved doors. Tristan's gaze switched to Aria, wondering if she knew yet. Since Tristan was now the eldest prince of Elyadon, then Aria would be his betrothed. He looked away before she could catch him staring.

Serena watched KC and Aria enter and bit her lip insecurely as she nodded in respond to Arabella - she didn't even remember what her sister had told her, since she was trying to keep her thoughts away from Aiden. The girl was having a hard time right now, but managed to hide it, like usual. She noticed Kaleb looking at her and stared back for a moment, managing a brave smile and just giving a small nod, indicating to him she would be okay. KC probably had enough on his mind for the moment, and she didn't want him to think she wouldn't make it through the meeting.

Alexander stifled a laugh and whispered back, "Huh, you might be right. But really why was I pulled from my writing? What are we doing here?"

Arabella shifted in her seat as an Avalon prince and princess entered the conference room. I recognize him, she thought to herself looking at Kaleb. Her mind searched for the answer and settled on that he was Serena's friend from when she was little. She regarded the princess. That's who Aiden's supposed to marry, she thought, again unaware of what had happened. She turned to Serena. "Is everyone here yet?" she asked her impatience rearing it's head again. "Can we start?"

Serena turned back to Arabella when she spoke, her thoughts cloudy once more. Is everyone here yet? The question echoed through her head as she looked around. Zerrick wasn't here. Dimari wasn't here, and Aiden wasn't here. But Aiden wouldn't come back. None of them would ever see Aiden again. Her face went sad as the thoughts of Aiden appeared in her head again. The friendly, caring brother who everybody loved. The princess soon rested her elbows on her knees, burying her face in her hands as she forced the tears back. Aiden's loss wasn't one to hide. He had been important to her, yet she couldn't cry out here. She couldn't walk away or tell Arabella. She was trapped.

"Serena what's wrong?" she asked, her face softening when she noticed her sister holding back tears. She shook her head sharply and simply embraced her sister for a minute or two. Then she let her go and looked her in the green colored eyes they both shared. "Serena what in the name of heavens is going on here?" she asked again, trying to be gentle and kind about it. "I was taken from our home in the early hours of the morning after being here dancing, and I've had no sleep. My patience for these games is running thin and you know how I get when that happens. What's going on?"

Serena hugged Arabella tightly back, a few tears streaming down her cheeks, though she soon was able to control them again. She looked at Arabella, doubting if she should tell her. She sighed softly. Oh well, why not?! Arabella was her sister. She was family. Why wouldn't she be allowed to know yet? Why should she wait for another hour while Serena herself was collapsing of this? She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to find the right words to say. She breathed shakily before reopening them again, placing her hands careful on Arabella's shoulders. "There are only four of us left." she whispered softly, so only Arabella could hear. "Aiden... Aiden died."

Arabella froze. For a few moments, she knew nothing, felt nothing, heard and seen nothing. All the world was nothingness; Aiden was dead. The words echoed in her ears. Then, she returned to the world. Her breathing became short gasps and tears welled up in her eyes, but she tried hard to hold them back. She reached out and embraced her sister again, then closed her eyes and let the tears stream down her cheeks. Who cares who sees me? she thought. "If it were anyone else telling me," she whispered, still trying to steady her breathing as more tears rolled down her cheeks. "I wouldn't believe them. He-he's really gone then. That's why we couldn't find him at the Harvest."

KC gave Serena a small smile, breaking his gaze from hers. "You'll find out soon. Really soon." he said quietly, losing the smile. They were just waiting on Dimari. Where in the world was she? Trying to distract himself from his older sister's absence, the prince glanced across the room once more. But this time his eyes landed on the youngest Elyadon princess, Arabella Elizabeth Jones. The girl was flaunting her impatience, asking when the meeting was going to start. Her personality reminded him of his opinionated sister, Dimari.

{ btw - I changed Tristan and Kaleb's age to 17. I don't think that affects anyone else's age. Kaleb is the youngest Avalon sibling, and Tristan is the oldest prince, but younger than the two princesses.
