I have a question for anyone who may be good with this kind of stuff but....

I have a bad egg in my Soul Silver game. I started wondering about it because it was contained in a masterball and has a item attached to it, and while it was in my party it had the "faint" sign beside it. Also if I look up its summary it said it arrived from "Pal Park" which I've never used since I lost my Fire Red. I googled this and people said Gamefreak had put Bad Eggs in the game to punish hackers but the weird thing is I never hacked my gam 0.o I've transferd level 100s and a little over 20 legendarys and masterballs, ect. from my hacked Pearl onto here but that was weeks ago- before I beated the game. 0_0

Bad Eggs usually come from glitches in the game caused by cheating. You probably got it because the Pokemon you sent over were made form cheating. The eggs can mess up your game so you can never play it again, but there's a way to avoid it. Just put the Bad Egg in your PC, and if you never touch it again it won't mess up your game.

I only have Pokémon Ranger and SoulSilver, so I can't exactly trade. XD But I'll be getting HeartGold soon. :3

i never hack or cheat, so i guess its not a problem for me. what is a "bad egg" is it a pokemon or egg? if so, when you trade-over does the pokemon become it or does an extra come along or what?

A bad egg is neither. No, the bad egg comes way after the trade. After you recieve a Pokemon from a game that's been hacked, sometimes a Pokemon that you catch might be a Bad Egg, or an Egg from the Daycare will be a Bad Egg.
It's a complicated process.
