Huh? No way, man! I don't know a Jenette! I told you before, my name is Ariadne!
Nope! That's your disguised name!
... what does that mean?

Yup. Now quit denying it!
Sorry, but you've got the wrong dog.
No I don't! You're Jenette!
I reached my hand out toward "Ariadne" (note the quotations) and touched her arm.
Get away!
Ariadne whacked my arm away and then quickly put an arrow on her bow and shot it at me. It was so fast, so unexpected. It hit me in the shoulder and I yelped in pain and let go of my vine, crashing to the hard ground below. The wind was knocked out of me, and I probably had a broken arm from the fall. That and there was an ARROW IN MY SHOULDER! Ariadne swung down her vine rather gracefully and landed beside me.
If you ever touch me again, I will shoot. And I won't miss next time.
Wait, you MISSED this time?!
Yes. On purpose.
Blood dripped down my shoulder and onto the grassy ground.
You'd better get some help. There's a village if you keep on going straight. Somebody will help you there. Once they get the arrow out, I'll be back for it.
And without another word, Ariadne climbed up her vine and started swinging onto the other vines, making it look like she was almost flying away. I moaned and got to my feet. My shoulder that had the arrow in it hurt like heck, and blood was all over me now. I limped toward forward and walked for around fifteen minutes. I finally exited the woods, and in front of me was a village, just like Ariadne had said. Why had she been so strange? Why didn't she like me to touch her?
I limped into the village and knocked on the first door I saw, unable to take another step forward for fear that I would black out. A small dog opened the door a crack and looked through it at me. I smiled faintly. The little dog's eyes grew large and she shut the door with a thud.
Well, there goes getting help from the village.
I started to turn around just as the door opened all the way. The puppy I had seen looking at me before spoke (her words will be in greyish blue).
Let me help you inside. Just be quiet; you don't want them to hear you.
Who?
Shh! Be quiet!

Yup, that's her. She dragged me inside (because everything around me was blurry and I couldn't tell which way was straight) and laid me on the ground.
Mama! I got her!
Whasthatmean?
And then everything went black.

lol, 'tis okay. I understand how addicting reading can get. Last night I was reading a book my mom suggested to me and I was supposed to be in bed, so I asked her if I could read the book and she was like "only for a little while" so I opened it and began reading... and reading... and reading... and soon I lost track of time. I finally looked up at the clock and was like "O.O" because it had already been over a half an hour. But I didn't want to put the book down right then because it was a cliffhanger! But I had to. -.- Oh well, at least I can stay up late tonight reading. And tomorrow.
And I don't write in Word. I write in WordPerfect. I don't know if there's a page numbering option there...
