Leappaw laughed but got into a hunting crouch. She stalked forward, ready to pounce on it. Suddenly she did, about the pin it down.

Tigerclaw snatched the mouse up last-second, shaking his head. "Lower to the ground. And lighter pawsteps. A mouse will feel the vibrations and sense your heartbeat. Imagine you're a rock, and slowly creep forward." He backed away to make the string taught, and waited for his apprentice to try again.
