(by now, when you see my posts on here, I bet you're thinking something along the lines of "oh great, not vantas and her walls of grey text again")
violetsplash - 7/10, I'm not totally sure about whether or not the cats would use violet- as a prefix. maybe I could stretch it and use it for a very dark blue-grey...but yeah, not a huge fan. -splash I'm fine with though, as long as she's a good swimmer!
stonethorn - 4/10, stone- is okay but I don't like -thorn. what could it represent about the cat's personality? that it's annoying like a thorn in your side? that's just silly.
mistflower - 10/10, a pretty name. good for a caring queen.
thornfang - 5/10, (I don't rate names based on if they were in the books, I honestly don't care. for one, whiskernose up there is a horribly nonsensical name in my opinion, and it was in the books if I remember correctly.) -fang is okay for a cat with above average hunting and fighting skills but I would not do what I think most people do with thorn- and a "sharp" sort of prefix. that may or may not fit the cat and should be avoided, even if your brain does make that connection with thorn- and sharp. also, I'm not a fan of the prefix thorn- anyway. thorns are many different colors, depending on what type of plant they're on, and they aren't even a big part of the plant, just something small and usually annoying. sure, kits can sometimes be annoying, and they're pretty small, but I still don't think a mother would name her baby that. it's just too vague a description.
sootcloud - dark grey she-cat. doesn't take many things too seriously and loves to joke.
brindlefang - tough, confident brown tabby tom. excellent at both hunting and fighting and a valuable asset to his clan.
sleetwhisker - very pale grey she-cat. timid and not the best fighter but makes up for it with her fantastic hunting skills. very observant, thanks to her quiet nature.

((Nah, I don't think that, vantas. XD I think most of the ratings you make are reasonable; I think you just look a bit too far into the entire personality, rank, and appearance of the cats who the names are for! What good is Honeyfern, used in the books, if you're going off of any of those? Not very. Most names are given because they are fitting and sound good. (;
And... there's a Whiskernose in the books? o.O I don't remember the name. Then again, it's been a long time since I read the books.))
Sootcloud- 9/10: It's a beautiful name and fits the warrior you named very well; it's pretty original (I've never seen it before), and sounds like a name they'd use in the warriors series. I only docked a point because the flow's a bit weird, with trying to make it around the 'tc' part.
Brindlefang- 6/10: This name isn't exactly my favorite, but it has great flow and fits the warrior you described fine. My problem is that Brindle- is one of the names a queen would give her kits to describe its appearance, and brindle is basically a form of tortoiseshell, making it a thousand times more likely to be given to a she-cat of the correct appearance as well as the tom. Also, I understand that -fang is a way of showing skill, but not exactly with Brindle-.
Sleetwhisker- 10/10: I simply can't find anything about this name to criticize about this name! It makes perfect sense, it's a beautiful name, and the flow is very nice. As well as that, it's also pretty original... I've never seen it. I love it how you took Sleet- which not very many people use since it doesn't sound very pretty on its own and put it with an ending that turned it beautiful.
Fawnstep- A light, creamy-brown she-cat with pale brown tabby markings, light yellow-green eyes, and long, graceful legs. She's naturally built for speed, although she excels in neither hunting nor fighting but is rather good at both. (Reason for name: Fawn- was given to her by her mother for her light, unusual tabby markings that reminded the she-cat of a baby deer, hence 'fawn'; -step was obviously given to her for her long, spindly legs and ability to travel at fairly quick speeds.)
Goldencloud- Dainty, dusty ginger tabby she-cat with light green eyes and long, feathery fur. This she-cat is a natural queen, with stronger maternal instincts than most she-cats are blessed with, having a gentle, kind nature and no real talent for hunting or fighting, which was obvious from the time she was an apprentice. (Reason for name: Golden- was given to her by her mother at birth, obviously for the color of her fur. Goldencloud received the name -cloud for various reasons. First was the way her fur seems puffy and feathery, like a cloud, but that was just a small reason. Next was that it suited her, as clouds are generally thought of as 'soft', and lastly, since she has no talent for hunting and fighting, there was a narrow selection of names to give her.)
That's all I have for now! (:

both are a 9/10 <3 there really is nothing to criticize, simply the fact that it takes an freakin AMAZING name to get a 10 from me. yeah, you won't see me say "7/10 ehh its okay" for that reason I would most likely say "4/10 yeah not so good". it seriously annoys me when people give high ratings and really low explanations, so... yeah now you know xD haha thanks for reading yup bye...

er... some names, hm...
well I would like a second opinion on whiskernose, and here is his def:
pale silver tomcat with long fur. the tips of his fur are a lighter beige color. annnddd he is a fairly good tracker, but doesn't like to use his skills for anything deceitful. named whiskerkit because of his long, thin whiskers and the color of his pelt. and the suffix -nose because he is good at tracking and any other suffix with whisker- would seem awkward...
annnddd... maybe an opinion for softheart, who is a pretty, thick-furred silver tabby she-cat. she is not exactly "soft-hearted" as her name may lead you to believe, but simply given the suffix -heart because she is kind, gentle, and caring. she has some experience with herbs, but only part-time, like brightheart.
lastly, just an opinion on the name shadowmist. this is a role-play character, so the prefix technically isn't from the clans, as I think she was part of like an arrowclan or something, and the suffix -mist was given to her because of her sly and sneaky personality; no one exactly knows who she is, simply that she is a very hidden warrior with surprisingly good fighting skills. but I don't want to use "shadowclaw" or "shadowfang" simply because I don't like how it seems anyone could come up with them; I like original names xD

Whiskernose 8/10 I love this name, it fits your description of the cat very well and I always envision an adorable cat when I hear names like this, the only reason this isn't 10/10 is because I see both 'whisker' and 'nose' quite often.
Softheart 6/10 This a good name, especially for a cat with a similar description to the one you gave. I'm not a huge fan of name like these, although I do like it in this case because I feel like you could build an amazing character out of the small description you gave.
Shadowmist 7/10 I quite like this name, but I've seen it before. It feels quite cliché to me, although witht he right character I do think could learn to love this name.
Rabbitheart This young, brave, slightly foolish young warrior has a bright, orange tabby pelt to match his feisty personality. He has a bobbed tail and is slightly ashamed because of that, although he secretly adores this unique trait he carries.
Stormchaser This fine tom is a handsome, storm--cloud grey, with stunning eye that match the colour of rain. this brave but terribly sweet is tom is quick on his feet and can catch the quickest of prey, hence the suffix 'chaser'.
Addertwist Although this she-cat name may indicate a sour personality, she was named after the dreaded Adder because of her very light, sandy pelt, with similar markings to the Adder. The suffix 'twist' comes from her skill in battle, and her ability to be shockingly light and quick on her feet relative to her large size.
back after a loooong hiatus : )
but mostly only back to roleplay

Thundercloud: I like it, but looking at your other names, it kinda gets repetitive. 6/10
Thunderbolt: Not to be mean, but it sounds like a pokemon attack xD 6/10
Lightningstrike: More "storm" names? This also sounds like a pokemon move xD 8/10
Mine-
Violethaze: Silver tabby with violet eyes.
Darksky: Dark grey with one silver eye with blue flecks, and one amber eye with emerald flecks. Has one white paw.
Salmonleap: White cat with grey splotches.
Ashfire: Kinda looks like Ashfur from the books, but has amber eyes and is fluffy and darker grey.
Frostrose: White shecat with a black paw and pink eyes.

Rowanclaw;; 7/10;; a very good name, with good flow and very simple. However, it has been used in the books and is a tiny bit basic.
Diamondstar;; 0/10;; there are a few problems with this: one, they do not know of the various gems and precious stones. Two, this is a leader's name, not a warrior's.
Stormflash is a thickly-furred blue tom with darker tabby stripes. His belly, chest, throat, muzzle, paws and a lick up his nose are a brilliant white. His eyes are rounded and hazel in colour. He is a very courageous warrior, despite his young age.
Sweetblossom is a petite she-cat with red and brown classic tabby fur: a torbie, although she also has white markings. She is very curious and adventurous, with a child-like nature and a thirst for knowledge. She's gentle and caring, but when angry she's a little spitfire.
