Duskpaw
The she-Apprentice shakily got to her paws, shaking her head from side to side to clear the odd ringing in her ears and at the back of her skull. The blood dripped slowly down her nose, and she scrunched up her nose at the feeling, trying to ignore the increasing number of droplets splashing onto the earth between her front paws.
"Starclan..." she grumbled, before Wolfheart burst onto the scene.
He sniffed all around her, demanding if she was hurt. She watched him with her mismatched eyes before he locked onto her face, seeing her injured nose. Evidently he had abandoned the chase to check on her, and although she was annoyed that because of her inability to even catch prey correctly caused the hunt to cease, a small part of her was touched at the show of worry he had for her. At the mention of the medicine cat, she shook her head frantically. Even now the blood was clotting, and the breath in and out of her right nostril began to whistle a little as the blood hardened.
"No...No, I'm alright," she assured the large tom, "I just got dazed for a moment, but I let the rabbit get away,"
She looked out at the direction of the forest she had watched the rabbit take off at. She sighed, frustrated with herself.
"I managed to injure it's back leg; I even made it bleed...But clearly not enough, it was still able to run away..."
She looked down, pawing at the earth stained with her blood. The white on her chest was stained with red drops as her blood hardened in her fur. Her ears angled backward a little.
"I'm sorry Wolfheart..." she mumbled, "I ruined the hunt because I wasn't careful enough,"
