"We're all just stories in the end."

Kassandra gave a half roll of her electric purple eyes at his first comment. As they walked along and he made his second comment, she gave him a friendly nudge before she replied. Normally she would've been happy to let the conversation slip into silence, but for some reason she just wanted to keep him talking. "So why were you out there anyway?" You were dangerously close to the old man's shack. She kept that last bit to herself, not wanting to let him know about the man. You had to find the old human yourself, and if you could do that then you could listen to his stories. It was a bit of a test. But she sometimes worried that one day a kelpie that didn't like humans would find the man and then the stories would end. The mare had nearly heard all of the tales the old man's books held, but that didn't deter her from returning every time she could manage. She'd be heart broken if anything happened to the old man and even more so if the stories stopped.
Kass' nose twitched every so often as they made their winding way. She didn't want to miss anything that could lead her to her children and Desiderius. However, once they had found them, that situation could potentially turn awkward and stiff very quickly. Ah well, it was a risk she was going to take.

Badger processed what Kassandra had to say and let out a soft sigh. His tail flicked some as he evened out his pacing, he felt as if he had started to move faster as he thought. "I felt I needed to get away from the other keplies, I already picked a fight with one and there was no way I was going to let myself get in another one of those again unless for a good purpose." he said, letting out a snort before lifting his head to look at the sky above. As he brought his head back down to normal level, he shook it, hopefully getting his mind straight.
His emerald green eyes started to dull some, feeling a bit uncomfortable around all the kelpies he has been seeing around the bayou for the shortest time he had been there. The outskirts were more where he wished to be at the time, clearing his mind of anything that could throw him out of balance.

Shasta snorted loudly at that. "Imagination?! Ha! I haven't the time for such nonsense." He shook his head tossing his forelock about. He broke into a short period of canter before slowing back to her side for no apparent reason. "The waterfall? Alright. Lead the way, don't trip on any puddles." he teased following Velvet.

Velvet looked back at him and smiled,
amused at his comment about imagination.

"no wonder i annoy you, Spotty."
She looked at him with a teasing smile,
cantering forward into a clearing of trees,

"Just this way,"
she said trotting into a patch of bushes

The stallion shook his head. "There are too many rivals I see about for me to even consider imagination," he bellowed. He passed through the brush careful to avoid its brambles. For a stallion he was very vain. He liked to look his best for mares and stallions alike. Especially the mares.

He smiled down at her,
"That's great, i saw you over there with Fawn, she's nice."
He was happy that she was liking the herd,

He knew she had been a loner,
but ever since he had his new found affection for her,
He had hoped she would like the herd in case of her wanting to...stay..

"Oh...I just sorted something out with a friend of mine,"
He smiled at her,
Although his mind drifted to Vanity and her awkward confession to liking him.

"Just a silly misunderstanding."
He said,
"But i think i'm gonna head over to the pond, I'm in a bit of need of a bath."
He chuckled,
looking at the dried blood on his neck.

"You wanna come?"
He gave a playful smile

Poetry

She nodded with a playful smile aswell and walked up beside him and nudged his shoulder.
A small sigh escaped her mounth as she looked up at him.
"Whats the name of this friend? Can I meet him or her?" She asked curiously and smiled at him.
She looked at the dry blood on his neck and tryied to ignore the memory flash infornt of her eyes.

(Would have been fun with some drama, don't you think? You have a suggestion?)

He said, surprised she was interested,
"Her name is Vanity, and sure you can, but i don't know where she is at the moment."

considering the almost jealousy she felt for Poetry.
He walked along side her, he could soon smell the water and here it trickling off the small waterfall.
They soon arived at the little pond, and he slowly waded in,
wincing,
"Its so cold!"
He said with a slight chuckle, chattering his teeth.

Velvet snickered,
"Well then, Mr. Serious."
She said cheekily, watching him tip-toe over the bush,

Man, this Shasta Kid cracked her up, she hadn't met any stallion quite like him.
She was incredibly curious of him,
But he always seemed to amuse her with his vain caring for himself.

She stepped into the small shaded clearing, where the trees covered nearly the whole top of it,
only letting a little bit of life in through the canopy.

She loved the shady look that draped the water, and the water that rolled down from feet above.
She looked back at him,
"Ta-da"

She said with a slight giggle

"So, what do you think?"

Thayer grinned and leaned into her hug. He couldn't help but enjoy the warmth of her touch. "Guess you haven't been looking hard enough," he said softly moving back to look back at her. She truly was a stunning girl. He always enjoyed her company too. It was refreshing having her confident self around for company.

Thayer chuckled and nuzzled her muzzle. "As much as I love a good romp in the warm sun, I must agree with you that things truly are beautiful under the pale glow of the moon," he spoke as he gazed happily into her eyes. It certainly was a cheesy line, but he was still speaking the truth.
