For Darkpelt:
BluetailThe she-cat found herself hypnotised by the yellow eyes of her mate, all warm and caring. She pressed her soaking cheek into his caress, then licked the same paw that touched her so gently.
"You have the experience of age on your side now..." she said quietly.
She paused as Darkpelt explained his reasons. She didn't mind; she didn't want to push him to the position, but she honestly thought it would be a good thing to have a cat like Darkpelt to be Deputy.
"I think you could do it..." she said truthfully, looking at him warmly, "the Clan would benefit from someone like you helping Dawnstar lead. And...If you would permit me...I would like to help you with your problems. If we are to be mates for the rest of our lives, your problems become mine and my problems become yours. Two heads are better than one after all,"
She pulled herself out of the water to sit right on the edge with her tail still in the water swaying back and forth. Her chin resting on the edge of Darkpelt's rock, her eyes beseeching him to share.
"If you would permit me.." she repeated softly, giving him the choice whether to share or not.
For Wolfheart:

The Apprentice looked back to Wolfheart as he approached.
"Sorry Wolfheart," she mewed, though her eyes gleamed in playfulness, "next time I'll walk so your old legs can keep up,"
She stuck her tongue out at him as she joked with him, twirling in place yet again. When he asked her about who would make the kill, her ear twitched as she thought.
"Well, how about we both do it? I'll stalk it and try, but if it runs, then you can intercept it before it escapes. How does that sound?"
Wolfheart's grey pelt matches the grey of the shade, so he might fair better at stalking the prey, whereas I'm mostly white. So long as sunlight doesn't peer through the trees and give me away, then I should have a fair shot.
She shot him a smile full of warmth, then the smile turned into a grin as she prepared herself for the hunt.
"I'll approach downwind east, so if you circle around and approach downwind south, the rabbit could run right into your path," she meowed in thought.
And with that, Duskpaw's bobtail dropped and her ears pinned back. She slithered over rocks and fallen tree branches, nose keen and eyes wide, as she disappeared into the undergrowth. Soon, the scent of the rabbit grew stronger the more she advanced forward, and her hurried pawsteps slowed and became silent as she became a part of the forest. She potted the rabbit up ahead; a white one, and young too. It would be fast on it's paws, so she had to close as much distance as she could.
Duskpaw approached the rabbit from behind with practised skill, lithe body low and head down between her shoulders, eyes forward and muscles tight. She got even closer, and it's warm scent wafted up her nostrils, and she salivated.
She sprung! But a little too soon; the rabbit's ears pricked, it's head spun round to her and it's black eyes bugged out of it's skull as it panicked. It took off in a terrified dash, it's instincts screaming for escape. Duskpaw chased it, and slowly caught up with it. She ran forward with an extra boost to her stride and bit one of it's hind legs. The skin on it's foot gave way, it's blood welled around her teeth, and the rabbit unleashed a screech of pain and it stumbled, taking Duskpaw with it. She hissed and bared fangs, her claws only swiping at it's fat-covered fur. When she jumped to her paws, she thought she had a clear shot of it's neck, the rabbit suddenly spun on it's heels and kicked her face hard with both hind legs.
The force of the impact dazed her, making the bobtailed she-cat stumble off her paws and onto the earth. She felt a pop in her nose, and felt a trickle of blood ooze down from her right nostril. The rabbit used the time wisely and it dashed off.
"Wolfheart!" she called, black dots blinking in her colour-blind vision, hoping he could catch it and kill it.

Wolfheart
Wolfheart sprinted after the rabbit as it escaped Duskpaw's hold, jut as the scent of blood washed over him. It wasn't much, and he couldn't be certain if it was the rabbit or Duskpaw, but since the rabbit had obviously bounded off nonchalantly, he figured it had to be Duskpaw. Panic flooded him, thinking about what might have happened to the she-cat. He hadn't been paying attention; he had been too focused on the hunt to look at Duskpaw. His stomach felt heavy as he thought of what might have happened: a broken bone? a gash in her side? she was tangled by thorns and bushes?
He stopped the chase for the rabbit and doubled back, eyes frantically searching over Duskpaw in the hazy light. "Duskpaw!" he yelped, sniffing the young she-cat. "Where are you hurt?" he blurted out, a moment later seeing the blood clotting her nose. He instantly felt stupid for overreacting, but nosed Duskpaw nevertheless. "Do you think you need to see the medicine cat?" he inquired.
