Mystic Dream Guardians are the creators and protectors of dreams. These creatures are plentiful,
but very hard to catch. By day MDGs walk in the footsteps of any creature that is capable of dreaming; capture important or memorable parts from that creature's day and turn it into a fantasy version for them to live while sleeping. This process is called "dreamwalking". Dream Guardians can dreamwalk any being, besides nocturnal animals. Only epic highly-trained wizards with incredibly awesome fire wands (aka artists), can domesticate these sneaky canines. But capturing MDGs takes a lot of energy, so they can only tame ten a week. (hint hint to artists) Once an epic highly-trained wizard with an incredibly awesome fire wand places a hand on a Dream Guardian, it instantly becomes tame and can no longer dreamwalk until it finds a loving owner.

Most MDGs are kind-hearted souls that create happy, silly, or nonsense dreams, but sometimes a bad-y is born and creates nightmares. These are called "Terror Weavers" and are MUCH harder to train than regular Dream Guardians. Terror Weavers are born looking like normal MDGs, but become all evil and stuff when they grow up. EHTWWIAFW (epic highly-trained wizards with incredibly awesome fire wands) have to spend all their energy and can only capture one Terror Weaver a week. (another little hinty hint) Terror Weavers are a little scary-er looking than MDGs, but they're just as sweet (and a little spunkier) when tamed.

Mystic Dream Guardians have three major life stages: puppy, young adult, and adult/elder. MDGs live forever! (yay) Puppies are very silly and are not allowed to dreamwalk at all, because they would cause too much trouble. Young adults can only create day dreams based off of the dreamwalkee's imagination. Only adult MDGs can fully dreamwalk. Terror Weavers find loopholes and can dreamwalk from birth. (Terror Weaver babies create those terrifying nightmares that make absolutely no sense but are scary anyway)
