Talon was napping in the morning sunshine, rays warming his fur as they beamed down from the sky before a familiar yowl ripped through the air around him. "We meet at the great willow, at sun high*! Bring your findings, prey and all else that it useful. If any of you do not come, you will be demoted. It is a war counsil, as well as the normal one. Be prepared.." he listened to his Alphess's voice as it rang around the clearing, confidant and menacing. Talon lifted his head lazily, letting out a tired yawn before struggling to his paws. Before continuing to gather for the meeting, Talon stretched his muscles, grateful for the short nap he had been able to consume before what seemed to be an approaching battle. Shaking his fur in attempt to wake himself, Talons' emerald gaze glanced around the clearing, looking from wolf to wolf sluggishly. Twitching his left ear, he looked up to where Isi stood upon a rock, finishing her announcement.

Talon dipped his head respectfully to Isi, picking up a rabbit he had caught a few hours earlier in his jaws. He then let his paws lead him to The Great Willow; where the meeting was to be held. The thought of a war council brought about numerous feelings that pricked at his fur as he lay at Great Willow, waiting for the council to commense. Fear and worry clouded his mind, but was easily and soon replaced with anticipation and curiosity. The packs had fought before, but something about Isi's tone, something about how she announced the war coucil held great urgency. There was no doubt in Talon's mind that this battle would be different; perhaps even more deadly than any in the past...

Akane got to her paws, padding silently over to Hawk by the Great Birch. She dipped her head in respect to her alpha as she approached, her fur bristling already, but not enough to show the red. She was ready for the fight, she had the emotional stuff out of her system now. "I'm here Hawk. What do you ask of us?" She cocked her head, a blank expression on her face. She looked around, they would have to wait for the others before the news was heard. She hoped it was important news, it had taken her away from her napping. She rolled her eyes at herself, sighing slightly under her breath. She had to stay focased... But it was so hard for her. Memories of her past kept floating back to her, in her dreams, while she was awake. It didn't matter anymore.

Description: Nightshade is different shades of grey, a lighter grey stomach with a really dark black. The tip of his ears are a medium grey, with the same coloured eyes. On his back he has a black stripe down the middle that branches of down his back and his tail has black rings around.
History: Nightshade was born as a half-Pack wolf, half Birch and half Willow. He chose his mother's Pack over his father's, as he was born there and believed that he was drawn there. His mother was killed in a fight against his father's Pack, and Nightshade chose to go his own way for a while. But then he realised that he was too lonely to be a loner, and rejoined his old Pack. He had to work twice as hard to get to his position, and he is proud of what he has done.
Personality:(See above) Nightshade is quiet, but isn't afraid to speak his mind. Being alone isn't for him, he prefers to be with at least one other wolf. He has a hard outer shell, but when you break it you find a gentle, hurt wolf who just wants to be loved. Nightshade has a load of experience of fighting, he was there with his mother when she was killed.

The Birch Pack Betess gulped down the rest of the hare she had caught. Athena shook her brown self, sending tiny ripples through her coat. She stood, her tounge running over her muzzle, cleaning the leftovers of her meal. Hawk, the alpha, had called a meeting. Athena quickly followed after the rest of the pack. She arrived right after Akane , who was already saying something to Hawk. The Betess dipped her head to the Alpha. He had earned his respect, so she respected him. Even if Athena would have rather caught a quick nap, she knew this whole fight with the other packs were important. That's what this meeting is probably about. She thought as she sat down, her gaze fixed on Hawk.

Aleixo stretched. The scent of Ash trees filled his nose, calming the Alpha. He shook his head, sending small brown hairs the the ground. Aleixo ran his tounge over hsi pelt, letting his thoughts roam. He would talk with the pack, about being ready for a fight later. But, he would have to explain that they would let the fight come to them. It seemed more of an advantge to fight on your own land then someone else's that you didn't know. Pulse, the pack was more adapted the the Ash trees then the long, whispering Willows, or The tall Birch trees.

Aleixo stood, moving away from his spot right outside of his den. He looked over his wolves, most who were taller then him by a inch or so. It didn't btoher the alpha though. Being smaller did have it's advantges and disadvantges. Shaking his head he raised his maw to the sky, to get the other wolves attention who were hunting or such, "Ash Pack! Meeting by the Old Ash Tree!" He howled. The Old Ash Tree was one of the oldest trees in the grove of trees. Aleixo took off, his strong legs carring him over rocks and twigs as he left.

Jenna softly padded after the alpha female with her previous kill hanging from her jaws loosely. She glanced around to see the other wolves walking slowly behind her except from Talon and Isi who were infront of her. The grey she-wolf swayed her tail as she walked boredly and continued to watched the other members of Willow Pack and the surroundings around her. She saw a small grey rodent scurry up the nearest tree when she gazed at it with her soft amber eyes. It was when she saw it's long bushy tail that she realised it was a grey squirrel. She thought she should catch but shook her head, it was too small anyways and wouldn't even feed one member.

Hawk nodded Akane and saw Athena near him. "As you all know, we are drawing nearer to battle with our rival packs." He paused, making eye contact with each and everyone. "However, we are more focused on our hunting skills, rather than fighting. So, we shall begin battle training tomorrow. We must be ready for battle at any given time and attack fiercely and strongly." he finished his lecture and twitched his half-size tail, daring anyone to say otherwise. "So, it's agreed. The Betas and I shall create a training regime for all of us. We will also spar, as well as learn new battle strategies."

Akane nodded. "As you wish Hawk. As you wish." She looked at her paws, sighing softly to herself. They would be ready, the fight will be hard, many will be seriously injured, many will lose their lives. It was never good on anyone, no-one really got anything out of it but casualties, and occasionally power if they won. But then there would be another war to make up for that and there would be even more bloodshed.
It was hard to live with, the fighting lifestyle, but she already knew what it was like. She was ready, she would do all she could to help her pack mates... She didn't want to see any of them lying dead on the ground. None of them at all. She was going to protect them, or die trying...

Dustu dropped the hawk that he had caught at the roots of the Great Willow. His evenly colored grey fur shivered as he thought of digging into it, gulping the blood and meat ravenously. But he stopped his train of thought, for this was a meal he could not eat. Walking away from the tempting meal, Dustu found a patch of shade and layed down. He watched the edges of the camp warily, as if expecting to have his enimies pour through the camp and try and kill him and his pack. He cared for this pack too much to even have the thought of being safe from danger. They were far from it..

Isi walked to the Great Willow. She stood, leaning against the wall at what the pack had brought. Fresh prey to be rationed, some had reports to give; others had applications for training and some stories to tell. But all would wait for her to begin. She had to, and wanted to. It was her speaches that made the pack inspired and ready. It had made her pack strong and knowlageable.

She nodded to her beta and stood at the base. Next to her was a pile of prey, further left a line of speach makers. It was time.

She howled, signifying the start of the meeting, running the speach through her head. She had a lot to get through, a war council, rationing and more.
