Raven awoke, the light filtering into the shack from the windows. The light shone on her eyelids, making her open them immediately. She slowly rose to her paws and yet out a still tired yawn. Stretching, she let out a deep sigh. The scent of the freelands made her smile, knowing she was a loner. Freedom was what she lived for. Really, she wasn't supposed to be sleeping in the pack since most of it belonged to the Takoda Pack. It was still half on the Freelands as well. She nudged the door open with her paw and cautiously walked out onto the northern side of the beach.
The waves crashed peacefully and seagulls were already singing their joyful songs overhead. She looked up, seeing the sun that was just barely rising. Good, I woke up early, she thought. She padded to the water, sitting right were it could just come in and out, touching her paws and body. It had been not too long after the packs had been created and she wondered how they were doing. She was just glad that she had nothing to do with them, that she had nothing to do with the wars and conflicts that happened.

Sazarinka crouched low to the ground. The soft, green grass tickled her belly. A crisp wind played with her fur. Downwind of her opponent, she had no need to worry about her scent being carried to him on a breeze. This lone male was not an appointed target, just one of the several she had found on her long strolls. On these walks, she often passed through other pack's territories. Her secretive nature usually helped hide her, but if she was spotted, the Akando side of her could help her fight through. If even that failed, she could run if need be. This was not her best skill and she would probably be captured if it came to this, but she chose not to think about it.
The dog was sitting on the pier, staring into the depths of the water. She felt a sudden pang of guilt as she acknowledged how...innocent he looked. Mentally, she was in war. One part of her desperately wanted to avenge herself, but the more angelic side pleaded with her, showing that he was not the one that had emotionally murdered her. He was not the one to blame, not the cause for all of this hate and pain. She gave in to the one that wanted him to live. She stood up clumsily, her head aching from the stress her own thoughts had put on her. She stepped on a twig and it snapped. It was loud enough for the male to hear her, she was sure. Surely he would hear her. Perhaps she would get lucky, but it was unlikely.

Dajuan whipped his head around as a twig snapped. He flattened his ears and looked back at the water. Just because the humans were gone didn't mean the bears were gone. He had to admit to himself that he was glad it was another dog and not a wolf or bear. His eyes showed worrow, though he was not sad. Sighing, he stood and turned around, sizing the female up. He stood proud, in a protective manner. "What do you want?" he said, his voice sturn. He didn't like many visitors, especially ones sneaking around behind him. He didn't get a good vibe from this female either.

Raven's ear swiveled backwards as a twig snapped. She wanted to ignore it and just go on with her calm relaxing at the beach, but she was curious and you would never know what could happen here. She snapped her head and looked over her shoulder, eyes searching for the source of the sound. A soft sigh of relief escaped from her mouth when she saw that the source was a dog. The humans were gone, and it had taken a heck of a lot off of her shoulders, but that didn't mean that the other predators, creatures, and threats had disappeared. She was quite relieved that it was mostly dogs that ruled, though. She raised her muzzle to the air, the scent of other dogs soon filling her nostrils.

Sanity padded around in the territory, bored. Hm... I wonder where Sazi is, she thought. She listened intently, ears perked. She tilted her head in confusion, seeing no Sazi in sight. She did, however, pick up the fea's scent. She smirked to herself and followed the scent, paws silent. She was calm at this moment and was hoping that Sazi was out recruiting more males to make their slaves.

Sazi cursed under her breath. There were two dogs. And surely Sanity must be curious about where she was. She was in for trouble and she knew it. But some odd instinct told her to stay put. She tried to regain control and recover her senses, but try as she might, she couldn't move. She kept her feet planted to the ground despite the physical effort she put into it. Perhaps it was a twisted need to actually socialize for the first time in over a year. Both were lone dogs and she doubted they would hurt her or disable her in any way. Chatting for a little bit shouldn't cause too much harm...And suddenly she realized that the side of her that wanted to stay was actually winning over. She was relenting to the convincing argument that her subconscience was offering. And even more abruptly, she let herself.
