Stepping between shadows, she grasped her mask, and dropped onto the second floor, scuttling between the mice, spiders and rats to walk down the stiars, her eyes white, twinkling and almost human. She wanted to at least make sure they stayed the night, and survived but she also wanted to know what they wanted. She giggled, covered by shadow, a silhoutte the only obvious outling over any of her features.
"Dear boys, where have our pretties gone? I do so hope they won't be long. I wish to keep you, like my pets, and we'll play, oh, do, please let's," she spoke, soft, rythmic, gentle. She stepped into the pale light, the sun setting outside. She sat in fornt of them, cross legged, tucking the doll into her lap. "Sit with me boys, and let's talk, away I hope you will not walk. Fear for my pretty lady girls, there are dangerous things in this world. Forgive my sins, I wish to play, you'll live to see the next day," she promised. She giggled at the boys' expressions, but her smile turned to a frown. She raised her voice to dangerous levels now, ordering.
"Sit little boys, you sit now! I should think that you know how!" she yelled at them, her eyes drifting black.
The doll fell forward on her lap, and she dropped her gaze, readjusting it, and smoothing it's curls out. She waited patiently for them to sit with her, she would keep them safe, for now at least. The Pets wouldn't eat them, not on her watch. They feared her, but she wanted them to go to the old wing. That was her wish for them- to die in their special place.
