"Except my mind, my heart, and my strength", he thought harshly as he devoured the soup and bread within a matter of minutes. He still felt hungry, and his belly ached from starvation.

Violet finished up her soup and put the bowl in a larger bowl filled with water. She glanced in the pot she had made the soup in.
"There's more if you want some," she told Jaden casually as she sat down on the bed to look at the injury on her leg where he had stabbed her earlier.

Jaden: he watched as she analyzed the wound gave her. He wanted to apologize for it, feeling like a low-jerk. ((Put politely )). He nodded his head silently for more food.

Violet saw Jaden's nod and walked over to the door of his prison.
"Hand me the bowl and I'll get you some more," she told him.

She put some soup in it, along with two big chunks of bread, and returned it to him. Then she walked back over the bed silently, sat down, got a book and quill from her bag, and started writing.
