Pet's name: Renee

Renee padded quietly through the woods, her soft brown fur wet with the creek water she had just splashed through. She was feeling lonely, and deserted. Hadn't her mother just told her she was good for nothing? Life was no longer worth living, she thought to herself, maybe I should run away, no one in the pack likes me anyway.
With this sudden thought, she sprang away through the brush, her mind made up. She would never go back, they didn't want her anyway.
She had traveled several miles into mountain country, a place she had never seen before. The rocks cut at the pads of her feet, and her muscles ached. She thought about Jade, the wolf she had loved. They had both thought that something might come of her love, but their parents had both frowned down upon their affections, and it was not to be. Renee was to inferior for Jade, and Jade was to superior for her. It had broken her heart the day that her mother had told her that she was not too see him anymore, that was one of the reasons she was running away.
She reached a high rocky ledge on the mountain face, the sun beat down on her as if it too frowned upon her. It did not have long to warm her though, for night was coming on fast. Soon the moon would be the only thing too keep her company. She slowly struggled too her feet, every muscle in her body aching in protest. SHe must keep going if she wanted to get too the other side of the mountain. Just as she was continuing on her way, it was as if the sun set right there, and the moon rose in his place. A strange voice growled menacingly above her and said, "You are intruding upon my lands, you pup!" She looked up, and saw a huge shaggy grey wolf, his eyes red with hate. "You will die this day, for intruding on my lands." He growled feircely and leaped down on her, his huge shaggy for sillohuetted for one moment against the starry sky.
