So this is a conversation that went on in my Spanish class

{We were going over our homework, by the way}
Teacher: Fill in the blank with this week's vocabulary, then translate the sentence.:
Mama __________ la cena.

Kid in class: Mama produce la cena.

Teacher: That's one way. What are some others?

Other kid: Mama tira la cena.

Teacher: Um, no. I don't think your mom throws the dinner.

Another different kid: Mama sirve la cena.

Teacher: That could also work. What about another verb?

My best friend: Mama abraza la cena?

Teacher: NO. We do not hug our dinner!
