Cat's name: Bae - a male name meaning inspiration in Korean. The story gives an idea as to why he gets this name.

Lemon eyes glinted in the evening light. The orange light blended with soft fur that flowed with the breeze. A soft sigh escaped the lacewing cat as he watched the sunset, the sound of waves filling the silence.

Another day has ended, I suppose it's time to go meet him.The winged feline stood to gently lift itself into the air. Allowing the breeze to guide his way as he headed from his grassy spot somewhere towards a dense forest.

The change of setting was not one that the cat liked. He always preferred his spot near the sea with beautiful views but didn't mind for this job. The male feline had travelled through the forest to find a small, grassy clearing. In fact, this was where he had hatched from his silvery marble but it had now become the home of someone else.

His pale eyes lighted on a young boy, who clung to a battered sketchbook, that sat it in the middle of dry clearing. Red tinted wings flapped fast as he hummed over to the black haired kid. "Hey! It's you again!" The pale boy pointed at the cat, grinning, "Why do ya keep coming?" Of course, the cat couldn't make an understandable reply but flicked his ears back. "Oh. Well, can I draw you again?"

The black book had already been flicked open as the Marble Cat fluttered towards a tree stump. Flipping through pages filled with sketches, the cat recognised himself in the works. From the day they had met, the young artist drew his tiny model everyday. His improvement could be easily tracked - styles, mediums and angles all changing from page to page.

"I'm gonna draw a headshot today, okay?" The boy had shuffled closer, not waiting for a nod of a head, but jumped up to grab something. "I wanna draw you at your finest, so sit up and look proud!"

A few lamps had been placed around the area. Most of the temporary lighting was jars filled with glowing items, so a warm glow lit up the darkening area. "I think this will give a great glow on your fur." The boy had come running back with a jar that was stuffed with yellow glow sticks.

"You know." The artist had started, not looking up from his book, "Bae. It means inspiration in Korean. Do you think it would be a good name?" A tilt of a head was his first answer but the cat's ears pricked up and gave an approving look. "Since I don't know your real name, I'm gonna name you Bae..."

The cat didn't know how react until the sketchbook was suddenly raised. "...because - you're my inspiration."

Bae. I like that.

Below: A song that fits the story of the young artist and Bae. The first part seemed to hit a chord with the story although it turns into something different later on. Probably the part about turning crimson and "coloured by composed lines".

WIP Finished~ I'll make little changes as I notice problem or want to add something but this is really as far as I might go. By the way, I know that he's a Red lacewing but I felt the orange text suited him a little bit more than just a plain red.
