Sorry to go off topic here guys, but lately I've encountered I problem at my new school;
I told a few people I'm Pagan, and obviously they go to the extent that I'm a witch, so go forth and call me that (ironic as we're doing Macbeth at the moment in English). Now, however, they're using it as an insult to everyone. Instead of saying like "what did you do that for, you idiot!" Instead, they say "what did you do that for, you Pagan!" And I don't really know what to do. I've become a lot more defensive after joining this school in November after a run in with a horrible bully, but no it's getting too far.
I've faced a lot of stereotyping, not just in this school, and I just can't ignore it anymore, so is there any way I can combat it without getting too stressy?

I also find that. I have many friends who are christain (absolutley no offense to any thread-stalkers. My parents are christain and I grew up christain). and many teachers are. When I explain that i'm a Wiccan, people automatically think of me as a 'Satanist' and it hurts me...some even ask me "Do you even know what Wiccan is?" and it's like...Really? Why would I be something if I had no idea what I was being..blah little rant there.
They automatically think the penticale is a sign for the devil when they're is two distinct. DIFFRENT ones. gnslnbslnblsf oh Blah I give u[p.

I have the same problem. It makes me a little sad that I have to explain to people that Satan is part of the Christian/Jewish faith, and that if somebody doesn't believe in God than they also don't believe in Satan. On the other hand, these people don't know any better. They believe what has been told to them their whole life. Thus, we shouldn't get mad at them for not knowing better. Instead we need to educate them and teach people about our religion.

I know I live in a town that has a lot of faith pushers in it.I have only once had to tell someone about my own believes.I feel a little better about living in the town I do because I have seen and shortly spoken to two people who were wearing a penitcale.It's not much I know but it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only wiccan in my town.Though it's said to say there are a lot of places in my town where it is best to hide your penitcale.I think the fact that I have to hide who I am a lot in the only town that has felt like home to me is sad and made me rethink about moving.

Form of wicca? : ( ex. Pagan, Dianic, Traditional... etc. ) Not sure I fit into any of particular classification
Comments of any sort?: The way I see it, the moon (mother goddess, lady Diana Artimis) is my mother. The Horned one is my friend. All the Gods and Goddesses exist. If someone believes something strongly enough, then it must be true. I call to the elements, Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. I also call to the Arch Angels. My mother says I'm a Light Worker. I am a Tarot Reader and I'd give up my right arm to protect Moonglow. (tarot cards nickname)

Reading what all of you go through makes me sad for you. I guess I'm lucky. I've found many Wiccans in my area. My fiance accepts me for everything that I am and he even took interest in my beliefs and wants to learn more about it for me. The only people I truly have to hide from are on my mother's side of the family. They're what my friend's and I call "Bible Thumpers" and I know if I breathed a word of this to them they'd try calling my mother a bad mother and probably try to make me take a bath in holy water. (they did that when i was a kid because having an imaginary friend is evil) I have no coven but with how many Wiccans I have around me, we kind of are one.

My town is very small and lives on Christain faith. As far as i know i am the only Wiccan here ;-;. I have a small coven I guess..well my friend calls it that. It's just me and my two friends, but they're not in my area. My mom is i guess you can call her a Bible-Thumper too. She HATES anything thats not really christain..well i shouldn't say hate. But she just..she's not open-minded. People can believe what they want. My life and my beliefs are not theirs and if i am "Making a mistake" with this. then sure yeah i'll learn from it. I love wicca and i don't have a grudge for any religon, so why have one about ours? I have friends who are Satanicts, Christains, Catholics, Jehovah, Atheist. Why can't we coexist. and thats naother thing..Whats so bad about Coexisting? I love the idea of it. A world where every learns ot love eachother and respect their doings.
