Sin sighed and slid down the wall beside Arwen, sitting beside her. He didn't look at her, just leaned his head back so that he was staring at the ceiling and his dark hair fell off his face.

"I'm just not very good at being social." Shay said with a slight shrug. "That's probably why I've been here for so long and don't have any friends." She said, she just assumed she was boring or not likeable enough.

Arwen awoke with a gasp. She sat up and wrapped her arms around her knees trembling with fear.

Sin hissed at Arwen, his fangs sliding out the second she touched him. He jumped to his feet, glaring at her. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He warned, flashing a smile without any actual warmth.

"Does that mean I'm your first?" Crispin asked, smiling to let her know he was teasing.

Shay looked at him for a moment then gave a slight smile. "Does that mean your my friend?" She replied.

"Of course I am." Crispin said. He leaned closer as if telling her a secret. "So far you're the only cool person I've met here."

"What?" Sin asked, sounding slightly defensive.
