      Oakland, California, is one of the most dangerous cities out there. In fact, it's fourth on the list of the most dangerous cities in America. With 104 murders and over 6,000 violent crimes last year alone, the Police Department has recognized the need for change. With eleven million dollars on the line, their plan has to work. They're running out of options.
      What is this plan? Well, it involves new policemen and women on the job, and... police dogs. Yes, the police department is taking on several new police dogs to train for their work out on the streets. These dogs aren't just any dogs, though. They must have;

      drive

      detection

      obedience

      agility

      focus

      Whether handler, trainer, or dog, the best is all they can take; they can't accept anything less. Because honestly, this city can't take much more.

      This is semi-lit. That means three lines per character. For dogs, you may get away with an amount of two if you've also met the three-line requirement for a human. Show your literacy to me on the form. If I don't think you're literate enough, and I will check, I won't accept you. However, I'm not unreasonable. If I talk with you and I believe that you will really try, I'll let you join. I also don't want a novel. If you get a sudden burst of inspiration, that's cool with me. And if it's an intense scene with high action that you need to describe in a huge paragraph just to fit it all in, go right ahead. But don't feel compelled to write more than you feel necessary. Ten lines maximum is more than plenty. c;

      All of Tess's rules apply. I shouldn't even have to write that on here.

      Make drama. Feel free to come with crushes, it helps a lot! And even create love triangles and cheating and all that stuff. Just if you could, please no suicide or death or any of that, unless you PM me and I give you the ok. Also feel free to make enemies too! Try to bring back the rp if it slows down as well. Don't just sit there and wait for me to do something, please. If you have an idea, let me know! Or throw in your own little twist if it's small. Just no major plot twists without my permission. And also please try not to timeskip majorly without a lot of people on the role-play. Don't be afraid to let me know your ideas too- I don't bite!... that hard.

      Try to keep the genders even. There is no longer a rule about only having two characters of opposite sex. Just no crushing on your own character and keep your characters 19 or under. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues, and no god-modding/playing either. Your character cannot win every fight. Only one trainer per user. You can make as many characters as you can handle but because I don't want this to be overrun with people who hang around the kennels and train dogs, you can only make one trainer. Don't worry, the majority of the plot centers around handlers anyway. This says it in the next rule, but I'll put it in here too. There is a limit of three dogs per handler.

      This job is only for police-bred dogs. Don't join with a dog breed that isn't a common police dog. Sorry, no chihuahuas here. I want big, masculine, police dogs; any of the following are accepted: German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Am. Staffs, Boxers, Cane Corsos, Dobermans, Dutch Shepherds, and Schnauzers. If you manage to find a dog I didn't list and a picture of the dog doing police work, show it to me and I will consider allowing it. I don't really want scenthounds in this- these dogs are for patrolling the streets, not tracking down things. The dogs I listed have a perfectly good sense of smell and can do the job just fine. There is a limit of three dogs per handler. Also, the dogs here don't talk. Sorry, but this role-play isn't about the dogs. It's about the people, which is why I posted it in human role-plays. It's also going to be a realistic rp. I play the "bad guys," and I decide if your attacks hit or not to avoid power-playing.

      Please be active. Don't post a form and never post again. You must be active, I would prefer it if you posted at least once a day or every other day, but of course I expect and hope for more. PM me if you will be away from the role-play for a specific amount of time and I prefer it if you PM me to quit too.

      Do not ignore others on the role-play. If somebody asks for a recap, give them one, or if you don't know what happened, say that, don't completely ignore them. Also if somebody posts on here that they are quitting, don't ignore them either. At least say goodbye.

      No "storybook endings." In other words, don't make your dog be this awful creature who can only be controlled by one person that he automatically had this bond with. If I see that, I'll call you for it. I don't like it at all and it shows a lot of immaturity to me. However, you may have that bond if you work with the dog. If you want to have a bond like that, you have to stick with the dog and keep training him for, hm, ten pages, maybe less. Sorry, but this is how it is in the real world. Once you have successfully trained the dog and gained his trust, feel free to have a close, exclusive bond.

      What I say is law. I don't want to have arguments. If I say not to do something, don't do it. If I ask you to stop, stop. I worked hard on this and the least I deserve is a little bit of respect. That being said, don't fear me or think that you shouldn't rp with me because I could kick you out. That's not the way I am. I'll give you warnings before I ban you- and I certainly hope it won't reach that level.

      Make your own form. If this makes you uncomfortable, then please don't join. I really only want people who are serious about being apart of this to join. Be sure to include everything you feel is important, and make it neat and meet the standards of semi-lit. It should have a very detailed personality and a picture, and much more. Try to make your character interesting, like maybe try something different and have them rude and tough or vice versa.
Image

      The following rules have been made short and simple for your comprehension;
      - Do not skip training.

      - When receiving a call for backup, respond.

      - Do not leave your dog unattended.

      - Do not disobey orders.

      - The safety of the citizens is priority.

      - Do not engage without backup.

      - these bullets do not represent how many dogs are to be allowed.

      Handlers should make up the majority of the rp. They are the "owners" of the dogs and are the ones who go out on the street and do the police work. Handlers can have up to three dogs.
      Trainers are the people who stay at the kennel and train the dogs for the handlers. They cannot own any of the dogs they train, although they are the first to be contacted if a dog they have trained is either retired, too injured to work, or unfit for policework, in which case they may choose to keep the dog. They have a limit of two dogs to own, because they need to spend the majority of their time training the new dogs. Once a dog has been properly trained, the trainer puts him up for claim to the handlers.

      - I may or may not use this post for showing what the department looks like, the kennels, ect. It just depends on if I can find enough pictures. And, of course, if I see it needed. I think we're good for now. ^^ -

oakland streets | dogs in training/up for claim

      § faith §

      ;; name ;;

      Faith.
      ;; age ;;

      Three years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Female.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Faith is a small Malinois, though that size doesn't stop her any. She weighs only about fifty pounds and is twenty-two inches at the shoulder, but this little pup is full of energy. She's lean and quick, agile and intelligent, and moves almost like a coyote, keeping her head low and moving her legs together in a blur. Faith's coat is short and she's got the typical boxy look of a Malinois, with small catlike feet to finish it off. Overall, just by looking at her, it's obvious that she's got good breeding conformation, though her gait is a little different.
      ;; personality ;;

      Faith is a sweet dog, gentle enough to be around children, but she's very high energy and drive. If something runs, she chases it, unless specifically given the command to stay. She's very protective and is a fighter, even a bit sassy with her handler. When she wants to do something, she'll carry on until she's allowed to or something else catches her interest. Faith isn't a bad dog, and is just about as loyal as they come, but she's very high energy and needs a firm leader and handler or she'll try to make herself the boss. Faith just needs leadership, wherever it comes from, and she's very eager to please.
      ;; history ;;

      Faith was owned by a family that wanted a dog that was just like the father's dog when he was a kid. She could have been that dog if given the proper exercise, but she spent all day cooped up in the house. After she became destructive and hyper, the family decided to donate her to the police station in Oakland, figuring she could channel her energy better that way.
      ;; trainer ;;

      Matthew Lewis Clark.
      ;; handler ;;

      No one yet- she is up for claim.
      ;; breed ;;

      Belgian Malinois.
      ;; side notes ;;

      Up for claim.

      Image
      § kodi §

      ;; name ;;

      Kodi.
      ;; age ;;

      Six years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Male.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Kodi can be either cute or fearsome, depending which end of the leash you're holding. He's got big golden patches on his white base and soulful amber eyes, though they can switch back and forth between innocence and aggression. Like most Am Staffs, Kodi is somewhat boxy and heavy, though he has slightly longer legs than most - bred for running. His ears prick and then drop, creating a "flopped-over" look. His nose is black, surrounded by pink skin, and his eyes are somewhat small-looking on his head. Kodi also looks very muscular in the front, due to the natural conformation of his breed.
      ;; personality ;;

      Kodi is almost bipolar, but he also completely controls his emotions. When he's at home, he's a laidback, gentle, chilled out dog that adores children, attention, and just about everything. Kodi's so affectionate and quiet in a relaxed environment that he tends to surprise people once they realize he's an Am Staff. Still, when working, Kodi's a completely different dog. He's obedient and listens to his handler, but he's aggressive when he feels his handler get charged up. He wouldn't kill on purpose, but he knows his job and does it well.
      ;; history ;;

      Kodi was owned by the police department even before they called for more dog squads. His former handler had been shot on the job and Kodi was without anyone who understood how he worked. Although the head of police didn't like it, Kodi had to stay on brief retirement in his cage until he found another handler.
      ;; trainer ;;

      Zachary Andrew Bell, now retired from the department.
      ;; handler ;;

      He is in need of a new one, so he's up for claim.
      ;; breed ;;

      American Staffordshire Terrier.
      ;; side notes ;;

      Up for claim.

      Image
      § kia §

      ;; name ;;

      Kia.
      ;; age ;;

      Five years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Female.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Kia is a fairly large and scary-looking dog, with large cropped ears and glittering black eyes. In fact, the practically paints the picture of evil. True to her breed, she has a black coat with tan points, the stereotyped image of a Doberman. She's a big girl at 26 inches and 85 pounds, but like the other dogs at the police station, it's all muscle. In fact, Kia is a bit underweight. She's got some big teeth, though, and isn't afraid to flash them at someone she doesn't like.
      ;; personality ;;

      Kia's always moving, always on the go. She loves her job and that's really the only time her tail is wagging. She isn't aggressive towards her handler but can be dominating and needs a firm handler or things can get tough. On the streets, nothing is a game to her and she's a very serious dog, no messing around. She wants to do her job and she's going to do it. In a house environment, she can never relax and is always pacing around, wanting to do something. Kia definitely isn't pet dog quality.
      ;; history ;;

      Kia was bought from a harsh trainer in Holland who wanted his dogs to have no funny business, whatsoever. Kia wasn't abused, but she definitely knew her job and was very obedient. The police officer liked her and imported her over a couple months ago and has been with them ever since.
      ;; trainer ;;

      Imported from Holland.
      ;; handler ;;

      No one yet- she is up for claim.
      ;; breed ;;

      Doberman Pinscher.
      ;; side notes ;;

      Up for claim.

      Image
      § kid §

      ;; name ;;

      Kodi.
      ;; age ;;

      Four years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Male.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Kid is on the smaller side of Rottweilers, but he's still very intimidating. He's a shiny black color with chocolate brown points and soulful black eyes, surrounded by such a dark brown that almost his entire eye looks black. Kid has big paws for a Rottweiler and is a little overweight from some time off, but he'll slim down quickly. His fur is very smooth and velvety and almost never needs brushing, though it can get a little sheddy, and he looks somewhat short because his bone structure makes him look wide.
      ;; personality ;;

      Kid is just a big kid. He loves to play around, slobber on everyone, and just run around like a spaz. He's got the necessary stuff to be a police dog, but he just isn't aggressive, nor does he have a high drive. He's eager to please, but generally makes a big goof of himself. Currently, the trainers are working to get some aggression, focus, and drive out of him so he can be used for police work, since he has it bred into him, but he's just too ADD at the moment.
      ;; history ;;

      Kid was bred in a low-scale operation that bred dogs for police departments. They promised the OPD (Oakland Police Department) that Kid was high-quality and ready to work, but when they got him, he was anything but. As of now, Kid is trying to adjust and needs a trainer to work with him.
      ;; trainer ;;

      Kolby Ray Veila.
      ;; handler ;;

      He's not ready for one yet.
      ;; breed ;;

      Rottweiler.
      ;; side notes ;;

      Isn't yet ready for a handler, though they can reserve him.

      Name: Rebecca Blaize Masonry.
      Nickname{s}: Becca, Blaize, Rebee.
      Age: 18 years young.
      Gender: Female.
      Birthday: July 4th.
      Birthplace: Hazen, North Dakota.
      Ethnicity: Native American + Canadian.
      Parents: Marcus Andrew and Lillian Wave Masonry.
      Siblings: Jacob Aaron Masonry

      "Heya, the name's Rebecca- thanks for asking. I know, I know, its a horrible name. I really don't like it either. I'm not sure why my parents picked that name. I've asked, but my mom just says she wanted a daughter named Rebecca. Becca or Blaize will do just fine instead. That's my middle name- Blaize. Yeah, apparently the "i" in the name makes it more feminine. Still, its a strange one, no? The story behind it's even stranger... I'll tell you all about it later. I gotta build up suspense, you know? Anyways, my last name is Masonry. Not a real story behind that one. It kinda just came with the family. I'm nineteen years old, born on July 4th. And yes, I'm aware. 4th of July. Red, white, and blue. America's birthday. Great, I know. I share a birthday with a piece of land..."

      Height: 5"7.
      Weight: 120 lbs.
      Hair Color: Originally chocolate brown, but had been dyed scarlet red.
      Eye Color: Striking dark green.
      Skin Color: Caucasian.
      Hair Style: Grown down a little more than half below shoulders, with bangs to the right side of her forehead.
      Body Structure: Lean and very fit.
      Body Modifications: Regular ear as well as cartilage piercings. She also has her nose and belly button pierced. One tattoo.
      Clothing Style: X - x - x - x - X.

      "Beautiful, aren't I? What? You don't think so? Well, I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. As you can probably already tell, the most striking part of my look is my red hair- because it isn't just, like, orange-red. It's scarlet red. Its been like that for a few years now. I'm white, or Caucasian- whatever you call it. I'm 5'7 and lean. But if you dare ask exactly how much I weigh you better be prepared to die. Hm, what else? I have really dark green eyes with orange around the pupil. Hazel I think its called? My ears are pierced all the way up on both left and right. My nose, as well as belly button are pierced too. Sooner or later I'll get some gauges to go with my collection of body modifications. I also have a tattoo on my right shoulder. My favorite holiday is Halloween, so I got a haunted house scene on there. Its actually very nicely done, and I like it a lot."

      Image

      Likes: Art, partying, breaking stuff, running, fire, dogs, the color red, vanns, converse, & hoodies.
      Dislikes: Anything to do with school, criminals, cops ( ironic, isn't it? ), dresses, and perky, bubbly people.
      Fears: Being betrayed, trusting someone, and love- that last one scares her. Mostly because she doesn't understand it. Alaska also has a thing called aquaphobia, which is a persistent and abnormal fear of water. Most think its from her power, since she leans more toward the feline attribute side rather than the canine. But if you really dig into her past, you'll find the fear is much more mentally rooted from a bad past experience.
      Dreams: As of now, she doesn't really have any dreams. She lives by the day and doesn't think of the future.
      Personality: "Trust me not to make myself sound like some sort of perfect princess? *smirks* So, I've been told I'm a little bit of a pest, but I'd say I'm still likable. I have a real fiery kick to my personality, and won't go against my beliefs to please or bend to anyone's will. Therefore, I'm not a people person at all. Its miraculous that I actually have any friends whatsoever. I think it's just because of my good sense of immature humor and enthusiasm, and my vulnerable teenage charm. I have a real short temper as well. Some say I'm bipolar. I think I'm just assertive. I just speak the cold hard truth is all. I guess that's what got me the academy "bad girl" label. Girly is the very last word I would think myself as. Shoot, I'm defiantly a tomboy. My pugnacious and trouble making nature supports it. I like to have a good time, but I sometimes ruin it because my sarcasm can get too out of control. I can be impatient as well, which goes to say you do not wan't me for a partner. My headstrong stubbornness makes me unable to accept the idea of anyone's but my own. But I know that's not all of what I am. I think I can legitly be decent and maybe even nice.... sometimes. I mean not very often, but it's possible. But outside of that, I have a poor grasp of the damage I can cause, and my immaturity and lack of forethought often lead me to disrespect those around me."

      Sexual Orientation: Straight as a stick.
      Turn Ons: Muscles. Dog-lovers. Immature, joking guys.
      Turn Offs: Too many to list.
      Crush{s}: N/A.
      Boyfriend: N/A.
      Past Boyfriend{s}: None.
      History: "Ahh, the past. Well children, back in my day... Nah, screw all that reminiscing stuff. I come from Hazen, North Dakota. I was born during a fire. Yeah, my mom is really old fashioned, and insisted on having me naturally at home. No doctors, no nothing. Gosh, she's so ridiculous. It was firework season- the Fourth of July, I mean. And we just happened to live next to an airport. It was a little one, though. No Continental or International flights there. It was more of a small, personal one you could say. And it was kinda cool to have right in my backyard. Anyways, the people who owned it do fireworks off the runway every year for Fourth of July, but in the year I was born, a few stray fireworks got caught in one of the trees that rested up against my house. Long story short, my house caught fire literally minutes after I was born, and so was also born my middle name. We had to evacuate, and when the fire finally smoked itself out, the damage was too great. We couldn't go back. We found a house in downtown Hazen, and thats where I've lived ever since. I was a wild child. I never followed the rules, and always got into some sort of trouble. Thats actually how I got into the whole police business. After I was found breaking into a house at the age sixteen with a few of my friends while, as the judge stated it, under-the-influence, she cut me some slack and sent me to, like, a bunch of hours of community service. My probation officer suggested the K-9 unit, and I've been doing it ever since."

      ImageImage

      Image
      Image

      Rank: "I am a Handler. I started at sixteen as a Trainer, as my community service for that whole screw up incident. But even after I payed my debt to society, I stayed and continued working with the dogs. They just grew on me, the dumb adorable things. I was bumped up to Handler once I hit eighteen, and it was legal for me to go out on the streets. I've been doing this officially for one year now, and I can't imagine of doing anything else."
      Dogs: "Well, I've always had a thing for big dogs. Even when I was little, I somehow convinced my dad to get a St. Bernard named Jackson. Dang, I loved that dog. I think he's what ignited my love for huge dogs.
      Right now, I have two amazing dogs. Diablo and Bree. I've had my little baby Bree for a few years now. Got her back while I was working in Hazen. I trained her up from the time she was just a pup, and she became my first dog that I ever got to officially handle.
      And then there's Diablo, the loner. I got him when I first came to Oakland, and right from the start I knew he would be a challenge. He's detached, very serious. I've tried to liven him up a little, and I think even a few times he's actually made one of those doggie smiles. But other than that, he's kinda hopeless at the moment. But don't worry, I like a challenge. He'll come around. You'll see."

        more commonly referred to as dirty blonde.
        Its cut short, yet covers the tops of his ears.
        Being naturally a little wavy its longer in length
        that you would think.

        eyes ;; Storm grey-blue.
        height ;; He stands at 6 foot 2 inches.
        weight ;; He weighs around 185 lbs. It may be
        more because its supported by his muscular build.
        120 lbs.

        skin ;; He is fairly tan for a white guy.

      funny the way it is,
        dreams ;; He dreams of becoming
        a professional big name canine trainer.

        fears ;; Surprise! Kolby is not the fearless man
        he appears to be. He has an uncanny paranoia
        of heights.

        habits ;; He has a strange habit of running his
        fingers through his hair when he's in thought.

        likes ;; Well, he obviously loves dogs.
        He also enjoys fireworks, surfing, and a good
        burger. He loves the wilderness.

        dislikes ;; Kolby isn't a big fan of super
        sunny days. He also doesn't like very
        crowded places and monkeys.

        good traits ;; Kolby is smart in both areas.
        School and street. He's sensitive,
        kind, and thoughtful. But the best
        thing about him must be how
        real he is. He actually gets
        stuff.

        bad traits ;; Kolby is awful when it comes to girls.
        His throat closes up, he gets really hot, and can
        never seem to talk without stuttering.

      not right or wrong
        father ;; His father's name is Raymond Jeffery Veila
        Junior.

        siblings ;; He has a brother named Jeremy Dale
        Veila. At one point he almost had a sister, but it was
        a miscarriage.

        pets ;; Though he doesn't like to consider them as pets,
        his two work dogs, Nikki and Kid, are his loves.

      funny the way it is,
      if you think about it
      one kid walks 10 miles to school
      another's dropping out
      funny the way it is,
      not right or wrong
      on a soldier's last breath,
      his baby's being born

      "Hey, my name's Kolby. -sigh- Yeah, like the cheese. Either momma was really creative, or she hated me so much she wanted to curse me with such a name. I guess it could be worse. She could have gone with something like Gouda, Monterey, or Provolone. Now that would have been awful. My middle name is Raymond, but since I think that's too formal, if you could just refer to it as Ray I'd really appreciate it. Raymond was actually my great grandfather's name. Raymond Jeffery Veila Senior. He passed away a year or two before I was born. Heart disease- now that's some bad stuff. My grandfather, which is my dad's dad, is also the source of my father's own name. My last name is Veila. My ancestors are from Italy, so I think Veila is Italian for something. I'm not sure though. I've never really gotten around to checking it out.
      I am nineteen years old. Yup, the big one-nine. I'm almost an adult! My birthday is in February. The fifteenth to be exact. And for the blind, I'm indeed a boy. I'd prove it to you, but being somewhat of a gentleman I refuse to take part in such relieving affairs.

      appearance to be written out here soon.

      Describe my personality? Really? Alright, well uh, I guess I'm a pretty calm, go-with-the flow kinda guy. I like to keep to myself and don't really like to cause much trouble. But at the same time I'm charismatic, friendly, and I can be troublemaker. Sometimes I think I have a split personality or something... w. i. p. c:

      history to be written out here soon.

      I'm a Trainer here at the department. I've been with the force for around three or so years now. I have the chance and capability of becoming a Handler, but I like training dogs, so I’m staying put for now. Besides, someone has to stay behind and make sure these dogs know what they’re doing.
      I have two dogs I'm working with right now. Nikki, an adorable little mutt I picked up from an adoption, and Kid, a playful Rottweiler. Both of them are still in training. Kid should be finishing up within the year or so- if he can ever get serious and aggressive enough. Nikki, on the other hand, still has a long way to go before she can hit the streets- and I'm not just talking about her young age. That dog has some serious focus problems, which, even though she has done so well in training for a mutt like her, makes me wonder if it was such a good idea to adopt her into becoming a police dog."

      ;; name ;;

      Bree.
      ;; age ;;

      Three years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Female.

      ;; breed ;;

      Dutch Shepard.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Bree is a lean, fast, female Dutch Shepard. She weighs around fifty pounds and is twenty-three inches tall. Her coat is a strange mix of midnight black and dark chocolate brown, with beautiful hazel colored eyes to pull it all together. Her fur is, unlike the average Dutch Shepard's, relativity long and rough with no curls or waves. Its obvious a lot of thought went behind her breeding.
      Image

      ;; personality ;;

      Bree is a relativity nice dog, and knows when to be gentle and cautious. But she is also hyperactive and hardheaded- which is probably why she and Becca work so well together. They're exactly alike, even down to their need for action. Bree always needs something to do, or else she can become accidentally destructive. She's very protective and defiantly a fighter, and always wants to be in charge of everything. Becca always has to work to keep her in focused, and though she wouldn't be considered a bad dog, she's defiantly a brat sometimes.

      ;; history ;;

      Bree was picked up at the Hazen Animal Shelter back in North Dakota when she was around six months old. The department was in need of dogs, because their last operation meant the loss of many others. Becca was Bree's first and only trainer, and they've been together ever since.

      ;; name ;;

      Diablo.
      ;; age ;;

      Five years old.
      ;; gender ;;

      Male.
      ;; breed ;;

      German Shepherd.
      ;; appearance ;;

      Diablo is a big boy, weighing approximately one hundred pounds - twenty pounds over the average. Despite his weight, he's very agile and is well-respected as one of the best schutzhund dogs out there. He's longhaired and his fur tends to be more rough than smooth, and when it tangles it isn't very easy to brush out. Diablo's eyes are dark, dark amber and have a very calculating look to them, as though he's trying to figure out his opponent's every move. Despite his weight, Diablo is rather skinny and all of his weight goes in his muscle. He's only slightly taller than other German Shepherds. Diablo's fur is a velvetly black sheen with occasional brown highlights - a striking and unusual color.

      ;; personality ;;

      Diablo is a hard worker, but he's very... detached. He doesn't like to play with other dogs and if he's not working, he's asleep. He's obedient, but you can tell by looking in his eyes that he's just not completely there. It's been forever since Diablo has wagged his tail but he's a good, focused, hard worker and is generally highly sought after because of it. He does what he has to because he has to, nothing more, but he might come around a bit after he adjusts.
      ;; history ;;

      Diablo was born in Czechoslovakia to a wealthy man who bred schutzhund dogs. Diablo was the obvious favorite and was trained extensively - the training proving to be worth every penny. Diablo was several competitions, even going to the nationals, and was also valued as a family pet. Unfortunately, the man had a heart attack and passed away. Diablo and the other dogs were removed from his house and, because they were already excelling in schutzhund, were trained in police work. After a few years of training, Diablo was bought by the Oakland Police Department in hopes that the foreign-trained dog would offer some hope for their city.

      ;; trainer ;;

      Imported from Czechoslovakia.
      ;; handler ;;

      Rebecca Blaize Masonry.

      - - { Name } - -
      Nikki
      - - { Age } - -
      1 year and 9 months
      - - { Gender } - -
      Female
      - - { Description } - -
      Right now, Nikki is still just a little girl. But guessing by her breeding, she will probably grow to be about fifty to sixty pounds and be twenty or so inches to the shoulder. She is a beautiful chocolate brown with black patches all over her body, with stunning dark brown eyes. And she already has the boxy and heavyset look of her Terrier side, but its in mix with her Malinois' slick and slender look.
      - - { Personality } - -
      Nikki is, just like most puppies, a bundle of energy. Its hard to get her to calm down, and she does have a bit of sass to her spirit. She already has the drive and aggressiveness of what it takes to be a police dog, but its used for other purposes. If something runs, she'll chase it unless shes told not to. But even then you can see the longing in her eyes. She has a short attention span, yet focuses pretty good, but it is frustrating for her trainer, and its taken Kolby long to get past it. If a dog bites or barks at her, she bites and barks back harder and louder. She thinks she's, like, a Great Dane or something, and just doesn't seem to get that she can't win every fight or do anything she wants. She always wants to be the boss, and is always having to be kept in check to make sure she stays in her place.
      - - { History } - -
      Nikki was bred between one of the Oakland Police Department's Belgian Malinois' and one of their American Staffordshire Terriers as a fluke accident. The puppies ended up being placed for adoption, since the Department figured they wouldn't make good police dogs due to their strange breed combination. Kolby was one of the first to see the pups, and was immediately drawn to Nikki- the most rambunctious of the litter. He was already a Trainer then, and figured since both Nikki's parents were good police dogs, why couldn't Nikki be the same? So, he took her in and started to train her. Turns out the pup makes a pretty ok police dog. Who would've thought a mutt like her could've made it this far?
