As far as I know, Dasher saw a human kid, the human pet him for a second but Dasher got scared and instinctively ran away, Flix is watching from the bushes and is wondering whether the kid might give her food and where Dasher went (they don't know each other yet).

Flix decided to go find the pup. As she trotted out to the roadside, a truck zoomed by her, splattering her with mud. She heard a faint barking sound coming from it.

Dasher

Dasher darted through the trees, the branches tugging at his coat, and kicked leaves up behind him as he ran. The road ahead seemed to be filled with bright lights, and the sound of something loud and grumbling echoed against his ears. He'd never seen a truck or car before, nor had Dasher set a paw on the asphalt road, so you could see why he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw it. The black asphalt road was decorated in splashes of bright yellow, and Dasher constantly sniffed and pawed at it.

Flix caught another glimpse of the pup. He was sniffing the asphalt road. She wanted to warn him about the dangerous cars that were on it, but at the same time didn't want to attract any attention by barking.

Dasher

Dasher growled at the road, clearly unsure. The bright colors were a blinding white in his black-and-white perspective, but the colors flared a warning sign in the back if his head. He set a small paw on the asphalt and the hair on the back of his neck bristled as the vibrations he felt. All instincts screamed No! at him.

Another rumbling. Flix whipped around. A car, at breakneck speed, was crashing down the road, veering wildly. She was closer to it than the pup, and on the other side of the road-- he hadn't seen it yet. Her canine mind calculated rapidly, figuring out where the car was going to crash-- the car was headed on a collision pup with the other dog! Flix knew she couldn't let the pup die. He would never turn around in time to see the car coming. (Flawed reasoning XD) Before her brain knew what she was doing, her paws were carrying her over the road and into the pup, sending him flying into the undergrowth-- and safety. (Should I have her get hit by the car, or get saved with Dasher and have them interact?)

Dasher

In less than a second and in the mixture of chaos and confusion, Dasher found himself flying in mid-air, everything frozen in place around him. It was as if time had stopped completely, freezing just for that small ounce of time he had to absorb the details of what was happening. A large and extremely loud car made impact with the asphalt, bits and scraps of metal and steel flying in every direction, and had left irregular skid marks on the road on its way down. Another dog was frozen in place, the car just inches from collision with her dynamic build, and her nose directed a movement towards Dasher's tail, also frozen in time. In the last second of frozen time, as he gradually pulled away from the other dog, he snapped at her frozen figure in hopes to pull her to safety with him as he tumbled onto the grass. (I tried to make this as epic as I could XD)

Flix couldn't move a bone in her body. Every sense inside of her had gone numb as she gazed, almost serenely, into the wildly veering headlights. She felt a small snag at the scruff of her neck, bringing her back to consciousness. With an almost dreamlike perfection, she sprang aside, graceful, and slammed to the grass as the car crashed over her leg. She felt like something was being ripped off of her body, but she tried to concentrate on the huge, shining eyes of the other dog...
With a sickening screech of human machinery grinding to a stop, the car skidded off Flix's leg and tumbled to rest, upended, beside the two dogs. A string of angry human yaps began to issue from the drivers' seat.
(Lol, this almost makes me want to do a FlixXDasher ship, but I guess the age difference is a bit... yeah XD At any rate. Things are going along quite nicely... for us CX)

Dasher

Dasher, laying on his side in the itchy grass, jerked as he watched the other dog smack onto the grass next to him, large black circles(tires) squealing away from them at the same moment. He locked his gaze on her, keeping one eye on her chest to check for the up-and-down motion of her chest that meant she was breathing, and ignored the two-legged human in the car. She'd saved his life, and his least concern would be the pesky human shouting about who knows what? Dasher had seen the circles roll over her legs, and he needed to be sure she hadn't gotten injured in the incident. " Uh-are you okay?" He spoke for the first time, and hid voice seemed to be far away, not sounding like his usual self.

Flix

Flix blinked, fighting back the sharp pain from her leg. The other dog had said something. He sounded kind of dizzy. Maybe it was "shock", like the white-coated people at the pound had said about her. The pound...
I'm not thinking about that, she reminded herself. With an effort, she raised her head to look at the other dog.
"I-I guess... yeah, I'm all right," she said. "I don't think I can get up, though." She twisted to try and lick some of the grime off of her leg, which sported no blood, but was at an odd angle. She grimaced at the sour taste of the road mud. The yelling had stopped from inside the car, but then a loud clanging made Flix look up.
"Do you think... do you think it's trying to get out?" she asked uncertainly.
