          there goes the F I G H T E R ...

                      there goes the F I G H T E R

Human-like creatures called the Regulites dweled within a secluded
forest on a far away planet called Terrene, once at peace with their surroundings
and all other creatures. There was a young individual, full of mischief and curiosity,
that liked to play with magic. The Young One -- as he was called -- didn't know that
what he was doing was wrong. It was dangerous, but still, he thought it was fun.
The Young one experimented with all kinds of magic, dark and light, but every time,
the more sinister of the two called to him. Once, The Young One decided that it was
time for him to do something huge; something so big, his and his world would never
be the same. Deviants is what they were named by the Regulites. And for a proper
reason.

The Young One, played with a dark, long-forgotten spell. Stygian Craft, as it was once
called by their ancestors. A spell of Ebony. One that brought disaster. As mentioned
before, the Young One didn't know boundaries. He didn't know that the spell would
work, if performed right. And so came a portal. Seemingly to somewhere that his
world would call a 'hell' on their small and luscious planet. The Regulite people panicked,
as soon as the Deviants began pouring in, with their high-tech monstrosities, and their
death-shooters, that killed most of the Terenic population instantly. The Deviants didn't
like threats. They didn't like the possibility of the Regulites being alive, and possibly
attacking them. The Deviants were scared. And acted wrongly. The Deviants thought
that they had killed each and every one of the Regulites. But what they didn't realize
is that the Young One hid three. After knowing it was too late to salvage their race,
in his final act, the Young One took three adolescent Regulites, and hiding them in a
protective casing. There they lay for a hundred years, not needing to eat, nor breathe
for that matter. It was if they were frozen in time.

When they awoke, they wouldn't know where they were, but they would know that they
were in the hands of the Deviants, their Genetic Experiment, and the Killers. There was something
going on with the Deviant's world. Something that they needed help with. The Deviants
were on the verge of something called a 'war'. There was a new cult forming, that called
themselves "The Domain". The Domain was a rising nation, that had ties with powerful
countries, like The United States of America, Russia, China, France, The United Kingdom,
Japan, India, Germany, Pakistan, and Brazil. Some of the most powerful countries in the
world. And they're sick of the way the world is being run. And they want to conquer, and
control it all. Their leader, a man who goes by Dr. X, is unknown to the world. His face has
never been shown. Nobody can tell who he is. Dr. X is brilliant, and one of the greatest
masterminds of the Twenty-First Century. Dr. X puts Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, or even
Mao Zedong to shame.

And Anyone that crosses him is never heard from again.

As a trial run, Dr. X hired a few men and women, all led by his child-hood's best friend, who
worked under the name Dr. Bonaparte. This man, who had been deep into study of the human
body, was the best in his field, and attempted, one morning, to create a super human, who
would have powers unparallelled to those of normal human beings. The only problem? It failed,
and when the rebels found the experiment, it was too late to reverse it. Dr. X promptly ordered
a hit on his old friend and colleague, leaving him dying on the streets. And attempted to kill
the experiment too, only showing how evil, and unsympathetic this devious devil was.

There is some hope against Dr. X's rule; the Adgies. The Adgies are a society that works
under Dr. X's wing, going under the pretenses that they're assisting him in creating a more
powerful human being. And their tests are failing. But that's the lie. The Head of the Adgies
is the leading scientist, Ms. Angela Jones, a kind-souled woman who knows how to pack a
punch, and get her work done. She specializes in human psychology, and rough training, that
she turned to work against Dr. X, training three average teenagers that she and her assistants
picked up off of the street, to keep the Regulites safe. After she saw how hardy the Regulites
and the experiment were, Ms. Jones trained the three of them, to fight against Dr. X and his
legion of tragedy. They, the Regulites, and the experiment are the final hope against Dr. X's
legion. The only problem? Nobody crosses him, and leaves his sight.

Not unless they come back in pieces.

The rules are quite simple. :} Follow all of the site's rules; this includes the basic site
rules
, the forum rules, and explicit romance rules. There are very specific things
in there, that I'm sure all who join this would be happy if you followed. We wouldn't
want this to get locked, when there is a very nice set already written down, so that
I don't have to.

Please, I want to ask you to keep all things pg-13 or lower. There are
also site rules focusing on that, and I'd appreciate you reading the explicit
romance rules before joining. If you already have, then great! You can
continue reading.

I'm sorry. I'm beginning to sound like a mom. So, here's my set
of rules; I am sorry, everybody, but this is a literate [two - three
chewy, lengthy, and interesting posts, that make people want to respond
to you] role play, and I will not have anybody barging in with one liners.
That would not be okay. But yet again, I want quality over quantity, please. Keep this in mind.

swearing with either d*tt*d out vowels is okay, but there has been a
lot of people getting in trouble for that recently, so I'd like to ask nicely to keep it to a minimum.
"Damn", "hell", and "crap" are not swear words. Tess says the first two herself, as I've been
informed. They're not going to get you in trouble. As seeing that "crap" is a substitution for
another word, it is appreciated when you use it instead.

I really don't like text-chat/talk, because I find it hard to read and
understand. Most people of literate level don't use text-chat/talk when writing, but sometimes use
it in OOC [which is extremely rare, mind you], so I'd like it if you didn't use it very often. Not
mandatory, but this is just a preference of mine. Which also means that spelling and grammar
should be good [though I trust you guys to be good with this].

I will not be judging you guys on your forms, actually. :} I want to judge
based on your ability to write, so all I ask for in a form is the name, gender, age, species [assassin
or alien] and spot. The rest should be a link to a minimum of six role play samples.
If you're a member of the Semi-Literate+ Club V.2, I'll let you get off with just two.

------ electric to the core
Image

Meet sawyer blu, electric to the core. She won't mess around; she's the gal to call when a job needs doing, and nobody else will. Sawyer isn't ordinary either ... this girl is a trained assassin, and isn't afraid of killing. She's a teenage girl, about the age that one would become an adult, but besides this, she isn't a picnic. Sawyer's a fighter. And don't get in her way. Because she isn't going to let you hurt her.

Re: ➽ inevitable things

Name: J-9. Usually called the Blob, or Jem.

      Age: 27.

Appearance: Most people, when first seeing Jem are not sure that he's sentient. Some unusually condensed blob of sewer muck? Some sort of giant ball of snot? It's not entirely clear.

Jem is, today, about the size of a small car. He is a mobile blob of goo of various consistencies and colors, tending towards taupe, with mauve, puce and gray splotches depending on what he's been consuming. He can move himself along at quite a fast rate of speed, about equal to a running human, and create appendages, tentacles and other useful segments of himself for manipulating objects. He can even, with a bit of concentration, make a humanoid hand (okay, a tentacle with five digits and a palm), for shaking hands.

But what, you may be wondering, does his stuff feel like? You might picture some sort of nasty slime coming off on your hand which you have to wipe on your pants. Unpleasant? No, actually. Touch is the only sensation where Jem is not repulsive. He can change the temperature of his goo from feverish to chilly at will, and he does not allow any of it to rub off on anyone else (having bits of himself separate from his main blob is akin with pain to him. However, unlike us, if you lop off his tentacle arm, he can pick it up and reattach it to himself, no worse for the wear.) However, Jem has complete control over other aspects of his goo, including PH. An enemy, trying to grab him, would find himself burned with a strong acid.

His other defense (not that he really needs any, he's almost indestructible) is his smell. His natural stench is awful, like a gym-socks, moldy cheese and fresh super-glue quiche, with a side order of sewer dipping sauce. He can, through a conscious effort of will which gets harder and harder as he controls it, internalize the smell for an hour or so at the max.

To continue, Jem can speak. He has vocal cords, somewhere in his mass of goo, which do work. He has a fairly pleasant voice, actually, for a huge blob of goo. It's a sort of rich tenor, and he has an excellent singing voice, which would outshine many in the opera or those of teen pop-stars. Finally, it might be worth noting that Jem is only male through convenience. His brain is male, his genes are... sorta male, and he thinks he's male, so that's that.

Personality: Jem has, believe it or not, grown up... normal. Bizarrely normal, yes, but normal. He has made it his mission in life to know as much about how normal people live as possible, and despite never ever ever being able to pass for human, you wouldn't blink an eye if you met him in a chatroom online. He's kind, and tends to protect those he can, having associated with many of the Regulites and teens since they first arrived.

He is a hopeless romantic, eternal optimist (perhaps even something bordering on a mental problem), and can always look on the bright side of anything. He's not interested in power, and hates fighting those he cares about (and he cares about almost everyone, even many who hate him). He is nearly invulnerable to everything but strong chemicals and flamethrowers and this has affected his attitude towards others, leaving him nearly fearless of physical threats. He sings beautifully, attends concerts through the plumbing, recites poetry, tells really bad puns, and is obsessed with expanding his already voluminous vocabulary.

History: Jem was created as an ambitious experiment to create a humanoid shapeshifter. Obviously, it went badly. When Jem was first created, he was tossed into a bucket and cultured like an amoebae in a petri dish. After it was clear that the experiment had failed, he was disposed of, tossed into the waste disposal units of the building without a second thought. Luckily, his blob form that was his literal downfall was also an advantage, as he could survive the harsh conditions of the sewers and the drainpipes by metabolizing anything organic.

He grew up, barely alive, not exactly conscious in the sewer system, exploring drains like the rats, unnoticed by everyone. Then, one day, he woke up. He's not sure how it happened. Perhaps he got such a size that he had enough information to wake up his human brain? However it occurred, he realized that there were creatures called humans. He'd wriggle up through their plumbing and listen to them, fascinated, like a cave-man watching angels dance. He learned from the vantage point of a kitchen sink as a mother who brought her kids to work taught them to speak, read, write and think. He watched TV, read books by creeping into private libraries at night, and became, well, a human being.

Then, one day, he was caught by Ms. Angela Jones. She was fascinated by him, and when he spoke to her, offered him a deal. If he'd give her a sample of his slime to analyse, she'd teach him to sing. He agreed, and she analysed his slime, sharing her results. After analysis, she was able to present him with a picture of himself, as he'd have been without his extensive mutations. He was a pleasant faced young man with brown hair, blue eyes, and rather pale skin who the student named Jem. It amazed him, to see himself for the first time.

(They had many long conversations, discussing everything from the purpose of popcorn at movie theatres to Mr. X's oppressive influence. She has (metaphorically) stolen his heart. As you might guess, this is a completely star-crossed and unreciprocated love.)

--------------

Image
Name: Claire Delune/Debussy

Type: Alien (Regulite)

Age: Physically nineteen (stasis, recall), but acts younger in many ways.

Personality: Aimless, preoccupied, easily distracted. Timid, trusting, naive. Spacey, airy, easily flustered. Sweet, mercurial, emotional. Spiritual, ethereal, mesmerizing.

History: Unlike the other aliens, Claire's memory was affected by the stasis in time. When she was placed into the stasis, she was fifteen, but somehow she continued ageing and growing even when she should have been completely immutable. Due to this, her memory of her past is fuzzy. She remembers what certain things felt like, and recalls feelings attached to people she knew and places she was, but when she awoke she couldn't remember any of her past, including her name. Her current alias was from the first piece of music she heard in this lifetime that she recognized as music and not random noise. (Her recovery of her senses was piece-meal, with touch being first, then smell and taste, then sound and finally sight.) The people taking care of her called her Claire as a stopgap till she could tell them her name. Since she never told them, it stuck, along with a last name that oscillates between Delune and Debussy depending on who she's introduced to.

Power: Claire has a personal sphere of weather. She is always half a year off when compared to the rest of the world. In the wintertime, she feels that it is summer. She'll feel hot and dress in sundress while outside of her bubble, thick snow is falling. In the summertime, she bundles up with sweaters and snow will appear, falling in a sphere around her. It is essentially uncontrollable, except for the radius of the sphere. The sphere is always at least two feet away from her skin, so she can shrink and grown the sphere by reaching out or curling inwards. (Her true power is a naturalistic connection with time - she is actually dwelling in a peculiar bubble of future-time. Unfortunately, she had no idea how to manipulate the deeper powers she holds.)

(Link for the picture went dead, have to find a new one.)

INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.
