Is the virus selective to certain sites and ads, or can it happen in any java-based things?

Any Java based things can get affected, so I suggest disabling Java.

I have disabled Java now...Just in case. Which means no Oekaki But Oekaki hates me anyway, and there's always Photoshop.

Java is working fine for me but my computer is going nuts.
Im seriously not sure if its because of this or its my computer. It redirects into auctions, ads, ect. I cant google much stuff, which is a pain. System mechanics always says theres a virus, but Im no sure if what it does is helping. I did it only 2 days ago, but Im not sure if this is the cause ^^

Windows 7 and Vista. (Haven't been on XP in ages so I have no idea.)
Go to the control planel.
Find Programs and features
In the list find any Java programs. (the owner should be oracle)
Just above the list there will be an uninstall button.

If any dialogue boxes come up, asking if you want this program to change stuff on your hardrive - click yes.

As in computer? (like XP, W7, all that?) I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure, since I'm not all that knowledgable on this, but I'm guessing any.

I haven't turned my Java off, but right now, the only websites I'm using are Chickensmoothie and Homestuck. That's fine, right? |D

(And I take it this means I won't be able to get minecraft back for now? D: I don't want my new computer system to die so soon. xAx)
