Hey has anyone read the help? I think I like the movie better and Emma Stone was a great Skeeter, but it was an interesting book.

Hello!
Title: Guardians of Ga'Hoole
Author: Kathryn Lasky
Other books in series: http://www.scholastic.com/gahoole/books.htm
#1: The Capture
#2: The Journey
#3: The Rescue
#4: The Siege
#5: The Shattering
#6: The Burning
#7: The Hatchling
#8: The Outcast
#9: The First Collier
#10: The Coming of Hoole
#11: To Be a King
#12: The Golden Tree
#13: The River of Wind
#14: Exile
#15: The War of the Ember
#16: Lost Tales of Ga’Hoole
And a special edition, A Guidebook to the Great Tree
Genre of the book (fantasy, action, adventure): I personally consider it an adventure series
Anything I should know first?: Here's the general plot for the first one (the only one I've read as of yet)
Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The Capture is a story about a barn owl chick called Soren, who lived in the Forest Kingdom of Tyto. One day, his brother, Kludd, pushes him out of their nest. He is captured by the owls at St. Aggie's, where he meets an elf owl chick called Gylfie. Together, they come up with a plan to escape St. Aggie's - they will have to fly for the first time in their lives.

(There's info on all the books in the link after "Other books in the series".)

I'm going to decide that it's fantasy.

I haven't watched the movie, but people say it's nothing like the books. Someone said they got rid of Hortense (my second-favourite GOGH character) and her eagles! Double RIP Hortense. Still, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is an epic title IMO.

I saw the movie but have never read the books. I read the first one of the lone wolf series and found it a lot like warriors.
