His eyes flickered to each of the mare laying there, apparently having been resting there before he had come. They were both mares, and appeared to be on their own. Perhaps they were in much the same situation as himself, traveling after having left, or been driven from their previous home. Whatever the case, it would be nice to have some company after so long. 'That is,' Zohar thought, in slight amusement, 'As long as they don't drive me off too.' Judging by the look on the mare's muzzle, that seemed to be very possible. "I do apologize for disturbing you. I am Zohar," he replied playfully, lowering himself into a dramatic bow. No longer being alone, his old playful personality was once again beginning to show through. A glimmer shone in his green eyes as he raised himself, waiting for the mare to reply.

Hana skidded to a hault, heart racing. She could make out the massive form of a bear sleeping about two feet away from her. She backed up slowly, and her foot kicked a pebble. The bear's ear twitched. Hana was out in a flash. She ran as fast as she could, running into Bruno on the way out. Her hooves skidded on the dull stones, and she ended up falling on the way out and rolled into a bush. She perked her head up and watched to make sure Bruno had followed her out. She didn't dare speak in case she woke the bear.

Voices caused Celandine to stir in her sleep. One was the familiar voice of her friend and the other she didn't recognize. Cel stretched her sore neck. There was a kink in it from the position she was sleeping, then rubbed her eyes with the knees of her front legs. Her eyes became a bit watery and glistened from trying to rub her sleep away. It was then she could see what was going on. There was a new face of a dapple grey stallion poking his head through the trees of where Evandess and her had been sleeping. Ev was beside Cel looking partially irritated and confused. The new comer and her must have met then.
"Ev? Who is our guest? You must tell me when you invite stallions to stay the night," Celandine joked with her friend.
Evandess began to get defensive because of Cel's comment, "I didn't!" She tried to explain, "He just showed up!"
"Just joking with you Ev," Celandine said with a smile and flicked her feathered tail at her friend's flank, "So who is this stallion?"
The Lemonsilla mare looked away from both Equids stubbornly, clearly irritated from the joke. Oh well, she would get over it. "His name is Zohar. He found us."
"Pleased to meet you Zohar. My name is Celandine. I suppose you and Evandess have already met."

"Here!" Hana called out, leaping to her feet. She took off at a run into the woods, listening for Bruno's hoof steps behind her. She could here the bear lumbering towards the end of the cave. It was too groggy to do much now, but being anywhere near it was a death wish. "Hurry!" she called back, taking a lat glance back to Bruno to make sure he was following.

Words: 830"And you're not bothering us, not bothering us at all." Lifting his head as Kirian suddenly but in, he gave a soft sigh, gratefully meeting the stallion's eyes. He had a feeling after the first few moments with these equids that they were a nice, friendly bunch, but it's always nice to hear it aloud. He flicked an ear as he watched the stallion inspect him. "And you must be freezing, with your coat so short." the stallion said, and then added, "Any way we can help?" It was as if those words triggered a reaction to his nervous system, and with little warning, he realized that it was getting cold. Too cold. Oh geeez... he shuttered briefly, letting the tremor warm his barely covered skin. Stupid, cruel humans and their obsession with hair. Was it because they hardly had any? Was that why they were capturing equids and shaving them? To punish the world for their hairlessness?? Static already had his mouth open for a reply when all of a sudden, the little grey and white mare spoke up again. And boy, did she.
Apparently, his whiny, feeble attempt at being left to his own devices had rubbed her the wrong way. And she was telling him all about it. After shifting slightly in her direction, Static cocked his head, trying to attain a better perspective of what was happening here without making it too obvious that he hadn't been fussed at by a mare since he was a wee foal. So, as he remembered, a clean, interested expression was his best route. However, keeping an unreadable expression, especially with how his mouth kept trying to slide into one of those crooked smiles he'd inherited from his father, was proving next to impossible. Because just beneath the surface, he had a look of sheer astonishment. He managed to hold onto his current reaction though, as Siren; sweet, subtle Siren, took on a stance that burned with the fervor and grace of a leader. A stance that, even though he'd only just met her, gave him a whole new respect for the little mare. And then, just like that, a tiny smile formed on her face again, and all was calm and deceptively placid about her once more. Static took a heavy note of this, and as he looked at Kirian, and then back to Siren again, he let the surprise, the crooked smile, as well as two very raised brows have their way as he spoke. "Well, that just made the situation a whole lot better then." he answered her with a breathy laugh, and a genuine smile touched his eyes for the first time in weeks.
He listened carefully as Siren continued after a moment's pause. "I've come to the conclusion we're all new around here. We should probably all stick together and find someplace safe. Regina and I have already had a scare with a mountain lion. I think it'd be best for right now we focus on finding a safe place for anyone who wishes to use it and a water source." Mountain lion... Static pushed the thought deep into the back of his mind, not wanting to ask any more questions right yet, and gave her a nod of agreement. That sounded like a great idea, and he was perfectly willing to let her take the lead. Though he usually wasn't too keen with being told what to do, he was in no condition to argue with a reasonable plan, and not to mention with that particular mare. He looked at the sky. "That sounds like a great idea, especially with night coming on." he replied, his ears swiveling on his head as he tried to make out any kind of sounds nearby. "I can't make out anything very close thou..." he murmured to himself, but cut off short as he noticed another mare approaching from off to the side.
He tilted his ears forward in a friendly manner, letting his tail swish as she minced her way over. And the first words that came out of her mouth made him want to grovel at her hooves in the most self-depreciating manner. Was it possible? He ducked his head to follow hers, and took a few small steps toward her, waiting for her to finish with an almost pathetically hopeful expression. "I know how to get them off, oh and sorry for sneaking up on you, I just didn't know how to approach you, so ya, sorry." she told him, appearing almost shy in her tone and mannerisms. Static smiled. "It's completely alright with me, and Miss, nothing would please me more." he answered, now beaming from head to hoof, but kept his head down so that she could reach the halter easier. He heard Regina chime in from behind him, but wasn't quite paying attention, and only caught the last bit: "may be following our scent." He hoped they could all get moving soon.
