Nightwhisper smelled Pitchfire and met him in the middle, knowing it was probably important if he was tracking him. "What's going on? Something serious?" His ears pricked a little.

Pitchfire stopped and looked around,"Its about Lightningpaw, Deathclan is after her to try and take her back. I've already spoken to Leafstar about it."

Sunkit stopped playing and she say up alert scenting the air. The ginger she cat spun and noticed Pheonixblaze padding over towards her and her two litter mates and their mother sitting in watch. "Pheonixblaze! You and Fleckedpelt are back!", she cheered jumping into the air.

Gingerkit looked at their father heading over and purred happily.

Phoenixblaze purred and licked his daughters on their head.

Ravenkit ran over to his mother ''guess what! A loner came and joined the clan! He's really nice but everyone else is really mean to him."

Lightningpaw padded back to where she had left her mentor, happily carrying a mouse, only to find that he was gone.

Nightwhisper flattened his ears. "Oh, do they?" His eyes narrowed and he turned back to get his apprentice. "Hold on, I have to get her."

[wolfrunner]

Pitchfire nodded and sat waiting for the deputy and apprentice to return.

Flekedpelt looked down at her son and her ear twitched curiously. "A new cat joined the clan? Looks like your father and I missed a lot today and I'm not surprised that the clan is suspicious about him. But how do Leafstar and Nightwhisper feel about this new cat?"

Nightwhisper nodded and ran back towards where he left her.

lightningpaw looked up ''there you are!"

Ravenkit replied "Nightwhisper doesn't trust him, but Leafstar is willing to give him a chance"

Fleckedpelt nodded,"If Leafstar is willing to give the cat a chance, then she must see something in him worth the risk. The other cats just haven't warmed up to the new cat yet."

Ravenkit nodded "that's what I told him"

Nightwhisper kept his voice low and his ears pricked. "We need to go back to camp, now." His tail twitched.
