Elo actually takes the form of a cow fairly often. ^^

Our least desirable form would be small insects. Flies, mosquitoes, and some smallish beetles to name a few.

Kheisa wrote:^ Ah, but it isn't! :O I can see how you'd think it was, since it's roughly colored like a red fox, but it's tribe Canini (true dogs) rather than tribe Vulpini (true foxes), so it is, in terms of taxonomy at least, slightly more closely related to wolves than foxes.

In daemon-related news, I'm looking into cows! Cows cows cows. I'd much rather be a cow than a giraffe because of ease of projection (even newborn giraffes are a foot and change taller than me) and the ridiculous cuteness level of cows over giraffes, so I'm trying to be cautious about it, but yeah, I'm excited for them to even be an option. There was a lot in the general domestic cow analysis that resonated with me in ways other analyses haven't for a LONG time, and I know analyses aren't the be-all end-all, but I see people a lot going "wow, yeah, that analysis sounds JUST like me!" and I feel kind of left out having not had that experience. Of course, there were parts that didn't resonate much, but I don't know if those can be resolved by selecting particular breeds of cow (because let's be real sighthounds aren't exactly what you would be describing in a general dog analysis) and the fact that I would probably be looking into female cows over bulls. Fingers crossed.

Buuuuut I was also thinking that overall, cows don't really seem like a desirable form? I mean, I really want to be a cow, but that doesn't mean many people outside of TDF would want to be cows; the Internet doesn't exactly have a cow fanclub going. Most people seem to think they (along with sheep, another favorite of mine haha) are kind of boring. So I pose you this question: what is the least desirable form you have either looked into or project your daemon as? If neither of those include animals you would categorize as generally (not to you, but to other people) undesirable, I guess... what's your most obscure form? C:

Cows are awesome. 8-) And totally adorable.

Well, I haven't done much form-searching, but I would never want to be a tick, nor a tapeworm, cause they give me the willies... And I wouldn't really want to be a rodent, but I still love rodents. They just aren't daemon-me. XD

And the most obscure was probably a ball python once before I realized he was my daemon. But he was a she that one time. XD

that awkward moment when many of the most "desirable" forms actually represent personalities that I find dull/unappealing analysis-wise. I'd take a cow-soul over a jaguar any day of the week.

When pressed for space, Mogget has been an amoeba swimming in my eyeball fluid and a tapeworm chilling in my intestines. Firefly is also one of our favorite forms, which I only ever remember one other member taking religiously, and we adore the primate forms everyone else on the forum seems to hate because loluncannyvalley.

Our least favorite form was the Mexican Walking Fish, which we were dared to use on the "So You Think You Can Project Well?" Thread.

i don't actually project zen as much more than just a civet these days, but what i've actually noticed is that often times i project him as some sort of tan/golden/brown solid-colored one rather than his actual masked palm civet form. i want to get into testing visual forms more frequently again, and it's actually been quite a while since i've checked up on his stable form so maybe we'll see if that's going to change too :>

So I've been doing HEAVY research into secretary birds this past week, and I'm really liking what I've found. This may be it. Projection is easy, super comfortable so I don't even need to tamper with "realistic size", etc. I'm going to also go to the library next weekend see what books they've got. Maybe even Barnes and Noble. How excite. I love this form for me.

AWESOME, Secretary Birds are one of my fave birds ever! (tied for first with hummingbirds) Halogen sometimes is projected as one. They make swell alarm clocks. XD

They are pretty cool birds all on their own, but I'd have to say favorite BOP is Harpy Eagle. Unfortunately, those are not even close to fitting me where secretary bird is perfect, so, lol.

Hmm, can I have a link to their form? I want to see if they fit me. (So far a Egyptian Mau cat and the common genet are my best. ;) )

Lol, they are pretty different from egyptian maus and genets. Not even just secretary birds, but BOPs in general. Cats have a hierarchy, and it seems that the egyptian mau in particular are chatty kittykats. Genets are solitary, chatty, and conflict-avoidant. Secretary birds are very often found in pairs or loose familial groups of up to five, and they even group up together to do courtship dances. They're not the least bit conflict-avoidant, and aren't very into day-to-day or idle talk. They don't feel it's very useful, and prefer to not beat around the bush. The egyptian mau and genet also seem to have a tendency towards playful traits, and none such behavior has been mentioned with secretary birds. They're not really a "playful" type of person.

And I PMed you the link.
