Raven
Brute|Hunter|Single
Raven looked back at Braxel and didn't say anything. He scented the air and nodded confirming what she had said. "If you want. We could just split up into small groups." Raven suggested softly. He looked around his yellow eyes focused on finding prey.

Three years. Brute. Hunter.
r σ l α n d
"Well then, by all means, lead the way," He dipped his head politely, allowing the two males to take the lead. If their description had been correct, it appeared that the small group would be in luck this evening -- elk did not often wander into the territory, and were seldom in such a condition. Such a catch would certainly raise the moral of the pack; this was a dire need in itself. It seemed that dismal feelings clung as closely to the hearts of the wolves as winter would to the land.
Feeling Tenshi's gaze on him, he turned quietly in her direction, having taken step a safe distance behind the large males. Something in the air around her suggested unease, and he understood at once her ready distrust of the strangers they now followed. She had not given them her name. Blinking, he turned his attention to the head of the group once again as they set off towards the easy meal they had described. There was not a single precaution or pretension that had not crossed his mind that he had not glazed over in his effortless demeanor. Misgivings swirled about in his thoughts, but he did not think well of them. The males, though bulkier than himself and intimidating perhaps in this advantage, did not emit an aurora of falseness or ill intentions. If there was one, it went undetected by Roland's acute observations.
-----------〚If love is what you need, then a soldier I will be.〛-----------
Rising onto my feet, I was left with nothing to
do but accept these inexplicable truths as my last source of comfort.
I wasn't dead. At least, I didn't think so. I don't remember how I got here, or why I came. I could possibly be dreaming, I suppose; that would explain the terribly strange occurrences that haunt every footstep taken in this place. The land itself is disorienting; the scents are dull and I'm beginning to forget things, like my name.
Rylan.
I hadn't lost it yet, the way I have already lost myself, and I can't seem to find a way home. Home. I need to go back, but somehow the task seems impossible. I don't even know which way to walk. I'm tired. And alone. And wet.

Sol
Sol smiles and lopes out of the camp-grounds, pausing to tap Storms' shoulder with his nose and huffing the news. Storm nods in excitement and takes the lead his lovely pelt blending in with the forest, except his electric blue eyes which catch and shimmer. The huge gold-and-red smiles at the followers' unnease, he too had noted the female had not offered her name but he understands, his toung lolling as he picks up his pace, his tail a banner. Sols' paws effortlessly, nearly silently carry him across the barren ground.
Storm
Storm had heard, figuring the stop from Sol had been just for show, as had been his nod. His black-tipped, silver ears flick as he pauses, picks up his own scent and follows it, his huge paws feeling his way...just in case. "Its this way." he says softly, picking up his pace, "He is still pretty strong yet." hapilly his trot turns into an easy lope, until minutes later, about 12 he stops at the edge of a clearing by a fallen log, and ducks down. Storm smiles and points to the buck at the edge of the herd.
"See?" he says, though the male winces at that word. "We didnt lie, packmates."

Tenshi's fluffy black tail twitched uneasily as she slowly and hesitantly followed after Roland. Her eyes never left the two males leading the way. Every movement she made was tense and cautious. The sound of a bird flapping it's wings as it left a nearby tree made her jump and stop dead in her tracks. Her eyes went wide and she watched the bird fly off into the distance. Her breathing was hard and her pelt stood on end. Those strange males were getting to her. She didn't like this at all. When they had arrived to their destination, she looked ahead at the wounded buck at the back of the herd. They had told the truth, but she still wasn't convinced.
{ Wow, major writer's block there o.e }
"Lamb, tell me a story."
"There once was a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely."
"Why was it lonely?"
"All things must meet this man, so they shunned him."
"Did he chase them all?"
"He took an axe and split himself in two. Right. Down. The middle."
"So he would always have a friend?"
"So he would always have a friend."

Storm
Abruptly Storm stands and moves away. He would only get in the way of the Hunt, he knows it, but they dont. The most he could do would be to scare the rest of the herd, move the buck from them, towards the wolves. An easier target. Unseeingly he glares at the prize meal and hears again the wise words of an Elder he had looked up to before the Gray had taken it, before his eyes had lost their sight in a fight and a Hunt.. "Catch a fish you tease your crush, a squirell feed a pup, a rabbit a meal for an elder, a turkey-bird your mate, a sheep your family, but catch a deer and not only do you provide for your Pack, you win your honor, their trust, their hears." Storm shakes his head bitterly and turns to the Hunt. This was his, powerful muscles ripple as he takes up his position.

A i m é e ;
fae - a l p h a - single
The fae sat silently, awaiting Argos' answer, though she doubted he would stay the night. The sun was setting, and the temperature started to drop, making the southern fae shiver. Aimée sighed internally, knowing it would be another cold night in her den. Why can't my fur just grow in thicker? I'm going to freeze like this! She thought to herself. Alas, thick fur was not in her DNA, but maybe over time the fae could adapt. She could feel the moonlight now, though less prominent than the sun, and she could feel the warmth of the brute beside her. She could smell the water in the lake, and hear its soft ripples onto shore. Curiously, the fae wondered if it froze over in the winter. That could be a problem, since wolves needed water. Something else had caught her scent to... The scent of a pack mate.

Three years. Brute. Hunter.
r σ l α n d
"Indeed. Your eyes haven't betrayed you at all. . ." Roland replied pleasantly, before turning to study the herd grazing a little ways off. They were elk, as he golden male -- Sol -- had guessed. A great deal larger than antelope, they posed a much greater threat than their cousins and were equipped with the finest of defenses. If not performed with caution, a hunt could go dangerously wrong, leaving wolves wounded. . .Or worse.
Roland's eyes scanned the dotted horizon until he spied the particular male that the wolves had mentioned. It ambled about with a limp, but appeared to strong, regardless of its taxing wounds. He wondered if their best option would be to still try for a smaller doe, who would be able to put up much less of a fight. With this in mind, he turned to the others surrounding him.
Tenshi, appearing to be somewhat distraught, seemed fidgety in the presence of himself, Sol, and Storm. Roland's lip twitched into a lop-sided gesture, which somehow communicated slight disappointment in himself that he could not have assured Tenshi to be more at ease. It was a possibility that this would be an easier task after the hunt, assuming it was successful. A fresh meal would brighten any mood. After all, it would have been a victory they had achieved together.
"I see it," He said at last, his voice a murmur among the foliage. "We'll have to run it down a bit; let's get it into the trees. With those antlers, it won't be able to go on for long." Now he spoke to the group as a whole, rising quietly as he did so. The dense thicket would act as a barrier against the bull elk, who, already injured, would be forced to slow its pace.
Roland's ears twitched at the sound of the silver brute moving away; his steps were considerably louder than his golden counterpart's. He caught the gist of some words as Storm began to plod away, catching some melodic connection among them, but not quite hearing all of it. Quelling his curiosity, Roland began his own slow pace forward, accepting that the male had taken on the role of -- he assumed -- directing the chase.

Tenshi watched the elk at the back of thee herd. She concluded it would be a bit difficult to bring down, but not impossible. As a young teenager, she was able to bring down a small for by herself with her unique tactics. All it too was a well aimed and well timed bite and just enough force and it would be over in a matter of minutes. But this.. this was a buck. It was much bigger than the small does she hunted. And much more dangerous. But se liked the challenge. This was her chance to show her techniques to others and prove herself; that is, if she does them correctly. Tenshi looked to Roland and then at the herd. Her tension and unease slowly faded as she focused on the hunt. Her bock tail swished silently once and she took her position. She began thinking up possible scenarios in her head and decided when the best time to make her move was. her eyes narrowed as she thought hard and focused on that one injured buck. She was ready.

Sol
"I will cut him from the heard." Growls the golden male as he slinks through the grasses that almost match his pelt. Only the tints of red show, and even that faintly, his paws are soft, eyes watchful, tail swishing. He is luckey he is downwind, his fangs Gleam. With a nod to the others he moves closer. And closer..until he is a yard away.
Storm
The Silver-Black wolf scents the air, moves east, the other side of the buck, keeping the buck from his herd. A snarl as he moves through the shadows. "Make this kill, win over the pack. Court a fae who otherwise wouldnt look at you..." he mutters through his snarl. The slight huff of Sol tells him that he is close enough, to stop. Soon, soon he would have it.

A certain tension rippled among the wolves now as they locked in their target, communicating their positions as silent hunters as they approached the unsuspecting bull. Sol had come in very close; surprisingly to Roland he'd not been detected yet, having the good fortune of being down wind. Even Tenshi, now, had settled into a different mood; one of calculating instincts. Roland felt this own stirring in his blood as his mind willed his body to cooperate, drifting closer towards the elk until he was nearly crawling. Blades of dry grass licked his underside as he lowered himself to the ground; an extra precaution.
Now that they small, makeshift pack had closed in, it was time.
Almost as if by coincidence, a sudden shift in the wind gradually warned the herd of their presence. Their scents drifted above the grass, now, as brown heads shot up from grazing and speckled the sky. An alarm went off in his mind, buzzing wildly, begging him into action. He was sure that the others were as ready as well. Their bull, having been successfully parted from the rest of the herd by Storm, had not yet noticed this subtle change.
"Now!" Roland grunted, lunging at the beast.
