Tenshi blinked slowly as he finally spoke. After a few moments, she looked away and scanned the camp. It was quiet. It seemed like barely anyone was in camp, like something had taken everyone out of it. She liked the quietness, but it was slightly unsettling. The pause between them was interrupted by Roland again. When he finished speaking, Tenshi looked back at him and thought about it. She was tired, but she'd rather spend time with someone other than her own shadow. She felt like getting out of camp anyways. After what seemed like five minutes, she she finally spoke, her voice soft and calm, "Sure. I need to get out of camp anyways.." What she said was true, but her real reasoning for wanting to go was so that she wasn't so alone. Tenshi then gathered her legs under her and pushed herself up into a sitting position. As she did so, she quivered with the effort of a nice stretch. Then she hauled herself up onto all four paws and stretched each hind leg in turn. Once she was up, her black tail swished side to side slightly, showing a little enjoyment out of having company beside her. But her face remained expressionless. Only her eyes betrayed the slight happiness she felt. Tenshi looked towards the forest, ready to leave whenever Roland was ready. Then she looked back to him, waiting for his next move. Her paws itched with anticipation. She hadn't gone hunting with anyone since the first day she came to this pack. Ever since then she had hunted alone, catching food for the pack and then herself. She had always been good at it, but she longed for a hunting companion.
"Lamb, tell me a story."
"There once was a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely."
"Why was it lonely?"
"All things must meet this man, so they shunned him."
"Did he chase them all?"
"He took an axe and split himself in two. Right. Down. The middle."
"So he would always have a friend?"
"So he would always have a friend."

This pack is odd, I felt out of place every time I walked steadily upon its grounds that were reserved for them by claim. I was born here in the taiga, equipped for the cold that it fought with every winter, but these wolves, they were smaller and their coats were thin. I sometimes wishes to question the place of their origination, but I did not want to stir up any dark memories that the had managed to push away and out of their thought. Maybe something happened. Some of them were small, which only further supplied to my theory that suggested they were from southern regions. It had been a while since I originally had been accepted into the pack, and despite the fact some of the wolves here were more social than I enjoyed, I quite like it. It is much better than that broken home I originated from. A few wolves asked me about my passed life, though, I was not too in favor of sharing with them, and dismissed them righteously. I am beginning to think that the fact I am so stubborn with sharing those sorts of things pushes wolves who are familiar with me away, and that was not something I particularly wanted.

The center of our territory came into sight, and I allowed a small smile to creep upon my snout, though, I hid it as other wolves came into sight. I wasn't particularly interested in engaging in conversation most of the time, though, I felt like having one today. I stopped near a large rock I usually take cat naps on, and looked around at the wolves who were socializing despite the time of day it was(I believe the sun is going down right?). I didn't want to be a bother, they might be talking about something important. With a reluctant sigh, and jumped onto the rock I stood beside, and laid down.
I looked out between the pack members here, looking for an opportunity to strike, and engage full on conversation. I am socially awkward, who knows.

I watch with longing, waiting for a good moment to speak with someone, though I wasn't sure if one would end up coming my way or not. Changes needed to be made on how I do things in order to make my life more interesting, changes that I needed to make, maybe in due time.

[[Thank you for accepting me by the way, Nevermore. Fallout is open to any lonely wolf out there who feels like making conversation |D

(i read all the way out, so i dont need a recap...just something to do...)

Storm

The huge male pads into camp at the shoulder of the Alpha wolfess in silence, he notes her pride as she slips into the camp she calls home, the wolves she claims as her own. For a moment, he stops with perked ears and listens to the wolves, and when he returns his attention to the other blind wolf, she is gone. Storm scents the air with full jaws but is unnable to locate her. With a huff, he moves forward scenting the ground for a kill-pile, his sensitive nose picking up hardly anything, but finally his huge paws brush against something small and furry, a squirrel-he faintly smells mouse as well. But the smells are so faint he is sure there is hardly anything on the pile, no-matter his kills would help feed his new family. Dropping the three rabbits he turns away, slips over to where they entered the camp and waits purposefully for something to do, with hot feet because he wants to be out Doing something, out helping feed his new family, or even...collecting the herbs he knows, not that he knows many but what he knew was from trial and error. Hunting, patrolling...training? A soft growl escapes his maw as he wraps his extremely furry tail around his huge paws.

Sol

Sol smiles as his friend takes in the camp, as he himself takes in the camp. He waits, watching as the wolves they had come in with go their seperate ways, and he forces his hackles to lay down because he can feel the malice of the female-not the alpha-but the other in the air, see it in her posture. It doesnt matter what anyone thinks, just Storm and the Alphess. The rest...can just go eat bark. He drops his kill on the pile, noting that they make up the majority, but that it wasnt enough to feed the pack. Sol peers around, scenting the air as his keen green eyes take in the guant faces of every wolf, the resigned looks on the elderly, hatred on the younger, fear in everyone, with a sigh he also notes no pups, no addolecents yet to learn the harsh realities of life, no love-struck wolves, no expectant happy mothers, or prideful fathers. Just wary, untrusting mostly not pack-family-bound wolves. Deep in is usually joyful heart he feels sadness and fear because this pack would not survive, because most wolves here were built to fight not hunt, that they were starving. The thoughts bring hunger snarling in his belly, even as he pads to a group of wolves. "I am Sol, new to this pack, and i was wondering if i, and my friend Storm could hunt with you." he offers.

Three years. Brute. Hunter.

r σ l α n d

"Yes; some fresh air would be nice," the brute replied, but feeling distant; a deeper meaning lacing the words he'd spoken. Despite the presence of wolves around them, the camp seemed desolate. Eerie, even. The bare winter branches stirred occasionally with a breath of wind, becoming the only sound in the clearing surrounding them. He was shaken out of this peculiar state of mind as Tenshi rose to her feet, her tail halfheartedly swishing behind her.
Was this to be taken as a sign of joy? Or was that a stretch too far? Studying her for a second longer, he discovered no signs in her expression that would point to this verdict. It seemed to him, though, that some noticeable and yet subtle change had occurred in her. But now he was being much too observant; drawing too many conclusions. He knew well that trusts were not easily gained, and friends, not readily made.
She could be no different.
But still.
Roland regained his easy smile, pacing forward a few steps with false energy. His features were alert and pricked, alive with the possibilities that lay ahead. "I have a particular place in mind," he began, but stopped a second later, his jaws closing at once.
Two wolves had risen from the bleary scenery enveloping them, one silver and one a golden hue in color. He regarded them silently for a second more before dipping his head in greeting. They were strangers to him, but nonetheless, appeared to carry no hostile threat. He flashed a darting glance to the fae beside him, quietly wondering how she would react, or if he would be able to speak for them both when he replied.
"That would be great; you're both welcome to join us if you'd like." He responded in a friendly way, his misgivings masked under the socialite's speech. While he was not sure that Tenshi would be keen on their company, it would certainly improve their chances at successfully hunting. With this many, they would be able to take down a small elk if they were lucky enough to find a herd.
"Ah, and, the name is Roland by the way." He added a moment later, before he'd forgotten to introduce himself. He looked to Tenshi, wondering if she would do the same, or if she was now very much uncomfortable within the presence of three barely known brutes.

Rising onto my feet, I was left with nothing to
do but accept these inexplicable truths as my last source of comfort.

I wasn't dead. At least, I didn't think so. I don't remember how I got here, or why I came. I could possibly be dreaming, I suppose; that would explain the terribly strange occurrences that haunt every footstep taken in this place. The land itself is disorienting; the scents are dull and I'm beginning to forget things, like my name.
Rylan.
I hadn't lost it yet, the way I have already lost myself, and I can't seem to find a way home. Home. I need to go back, but somehow the task seems impossible. I don't even know which way to walk. I'm tired. And alone. And wet.
But I'm not afraid.

Sol

Sol grins hapilly, and his over-long tail swishes too-and-fro. "Ah, i shall go inform Storm." he pauses from turning " On our way into yo-er Our territory we spotted an injured six-pointer, looked like a sparing accedent. I could show you where it was, i think it was elk, but i wouldnt know for sure since i never really hunted them, if they are anything like antelope..." the male shrugs his huge Golden-blood-tipped shoulder with a smile and waits.

Storm

The Silver and black male at the camp enterance, easilly the same size as his companion, and best friend Sol who was also, easilly one-and-a-half wolves weight without his bushy pelt flicks one large, delicate ear as he intently listens. He half-smiles when they are introduced, when Sol offers the buck they had found and to go hunting : when they are accepted. Storm wonders absently where the Alphess is, if she would join them, honestly he hopes so.

Tenshi's attention was caught by the sound of another voice. She turned her head to see another male, a large one at that. The fur on the back of her neck stood up slightly at the sight of the stranger. She had never seen this brute before and he was huge. When Roland invited the male and his friend to hunt with them, Tenshi let out a nearly silent whimper that was not loud enough for Sol to hear. Both of the brutes were huge. Her tail went between her legs slightly, but only one viewing from behind could see it. Tenshi lowered her head a bit as well as she studied the two males. She didn't trust them at all and wasn't too keen on them joining Roland and herself. But she kept quiet, keeping her eyes on the two. Once they would start moving, she would stay towards the back to watch them carefully. Tenshi's eyes showed a small bit of fear but she tried her best to hide it. She looked at Roland for a brief moment, then looked back at Sol and Storm, not wanting to say her name because of her shyness and mistrust in them.

Braxel didn't reply back to her. She was busy scenting the air. "There's a rabbit warren down that ridge..." She murmured, nodding to her left. "And a few mice scurrying around in the bushes." There wasn't any large game to be found. The warrior shook her head and began walking toward the east and the rabbits. "I'll go catch a few of those, if you don't mind. I think we should split up. Small game is easier to hunt alone."
