The blonde looked up and made her way over to Dormouse and poked her cheek. "Dormouse, why the long face? It's much more pleasant to turn that frown upside down." The girl looked over her shoulder when familar barking filled her ears. The girl smiled happily then went down onto her knees and hugged Bayard. "Bayard! Oh it's so good to see you!" She told the dog. "Same to you Alice" the blood hound answered her. The blonde girl looked up at Dormouse "Dormouse, Isabella, this is Bayard. The Queen's dog."

I sat in my bed, hungry and annoyed with the growing black and blue mark on my cheek. There wasnt enough concealer in the world to hide this thing, so I finally gave up. I sat looking at a wall, and the wall I happened to be looking at had a shelf lined with creepy looking dolls. I found them comforting and went over and picked one up.
