Does that mean in a few months the moon swirl and other pets that got bumped down will go back up to OMG! so rare?

Maybe. ^^ We can't accurately tell when they'll go back, but there's a high possibility they will in a couple of weeks/months.

Does anyone know if the Red X PPS or the Wolf PPS has more demand?

Small question, I am a little confused. (Sorry if i shouldn't post here)
What about the pets that are in between September and Advent? I am currently trying to find where a 2008 October pet would go.

There are only two in that gap which are equivalent to September/Advent pets; the two dark faced growing need to be added, I just haven't gotten to them. Any pets not on that list are not rare enough to be on either.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet. Since the release update occurred (new older pet rarites), the moondogs went down back to VR while the July PPS stayed OMG. Not sure if this matters at all, but I thought I'd mention it to get a response on your thoughts.

In 2012, the July PPS went OMGSR 1-2 months after the Moondogs, so it was less common than them.
This year it looks like the rerelease resulted in more Moonswirls and Dogtags than July PPS pups.

Whether this change is as a result of the rerelease or Nick's new rarity formula (it's possible that there are more July PPSes on dead accounts while the moondogs were traded off to accounts that are still active?) we can't know.

For July PPS, it doesn't seem to have very good demand lately, so I think that compensates for its increased rarity in relation to the other pets around it. Unless you want to slot it above UR Banana/UR Cucumber, but I am unsure what my opinion is on them so I wouldn't suggest it at the moment, and that would be more a replacement of them rather than a replacement of the July PPS. I think the UR Pet count thread is going to be very helpful though, already we are seeing some trends, for example there are far more UR Purple horses being listed than UR Mint, which is what we expected of course, but it's nice to see that the thread is yielding realistic results.

I hoping those results will help us take some very good looks at the UR pets and perhaps move one or two of them around a bit. This last rerelease seems to have done some funny things to a couple of them.

Anyhow, I would give it at least 6 months before considering moving it to allow the moondogs to go back up in rarity (if they do), then if they don't, maybe considering moving the PPS up a slot to account for the growing rarity of it? This is considering that the July PPS and Sunjewel are the only two August OMGs left after the rerelase. However, in 6 months that may change drastically.

They already had UR Lion figures before the thread opened for data collection of the others so don't pay too much attention to that particular batch yet. The rest should be a rough estimate of the supply of those pets in comparison to each other. As more data is collected, the more accurate it becomes. While it already has some interesting trends I'd love to talk about, we need to be patient and wait for more data collection.

Re the Moonswirl and Dogtag, I have no doubt that they will hit OMGSR again, and soon. Back in 08, they and Sunjewel were the big three. July PPS was not; it is interesting that it has overtaken them, but not too surprising given that the UR Cat (black 08) was OMGSR since its initial release and for years to come, then suddenly dipped back to VR for a short while after one rerelease. Which supports my theory that UR pets are just crazy.

Just gonna add that in 2009 the sunjewel, moonswirl, dogtag, July PPS and the coontail were the big five. (Because of this, I'm waiting for the coon to turn OMG so rare anytime now X3 )
It's definitely interesting to see that the PPS is still OMGSR while the two moons are not anymore. But then again lots and lots of moonpups were rereleased this time, I haven't seen many growing white julys/July PPS pups.
