Sniffing the dusty forest floor for any scent or sound of prey, Gaze looked up. It was hopeless, it was nearly winter and somw snow was just barly covering the dusty forest snow. Soon it would be competly covered over and the animals would be sleeping. Sighing, Gaze sniffed the air one last time, scenting for anything then flew up his nose, was a scent he never smelt before. It was musky and he knew it must be some sort fo wolf - but not from Blaze's. Following the scent, he came up to a near by bush. He hid behind it and saw the dead bear Blaze posined he was talking about. and there; standing around it was a wolf. Leaping from the cover of the bushes, he tackled this stray female.

Crescent greedily ate at the bears leg, so hungry that she at right down to the bone. She was so distracted by her hunger that she didn't sense the brute in the bushes behind her.

Gaze leapt out from the safty cover of the bushes and tackled the strang female loner. They tumbled across the dusty, hard forest floor that was beginning to soften up.
