Mello-chan's friend is me! SasuSaku was probably my first ever ship. I cannot stop loving it! I support NaruHina and ShikaTem but Sasusaku? I ship it so hard it hurts. Stop blowing holes in my ship, Sasuke!

I don't ship NaruHina for many reasons.
The biggest reason is that it really is a one sided couple.
Hinata's in love with Naruto and will do anything to prove it, I don't doubt that.
But HE'S not head over heels for her, he's head over heels for Sakura.
Many NaruHina fans say that maybe Naruto is hiding something and quietly likes Hinata.
Ha, wut, no.
They clearly know nothing about Naruto himself.
They don't get that when Naruto wants something, he tells the world and goes for it(whether it's becoming Hokage/being recognized as a hero or getting Sasuke back home).
He makes it obvious that he wants something from someone.
He's done nothing to show he's interested in a love relationship with Hinata just as he does with many of his friends. He acknowledges her as a close friend. I see it.

It honestly irritates me when people ship NaruHina just because Hinata is in love with Naruto.
That's not how couple logic works.
It can't be one sided.
There has to be some chemistry.
Hinata will die for Naruto(and almost did) but so would every other one of Naruto's friends(AHEM, NEJI.)
Neji died to save Naruto but they aren't a perfect couple, now are they?
Just because Hinata's desperately in love with Naruto, DOES NOT make them forever and ever together with sunshine and rainbows.

I ship naruSaku because at least they both share the same sort of feeling. I don't see them as friends. Sakura cares too much for him and Naruto cares too much for her.

The folks who say she's 'abusive' probably don't understand that Sakura has a weird yet understandable way of acting around Naruto(ex: whacking him when he says something wrong. She doesn't whack him randomly, he triggers her with something).
She's a girl with high pride and a strong mind.
Girls have many ways of showing affection just like guys.
Not all girls drop to their kneels and drool over a dude for their whole lives, they're still they're own person with their own pride to protect.
But Naruto and Sakura have been through tough times by each other's side(such as Sasuke's departure).
Naruto made a promise to Sakura to bring Sasuke back to her when she really needed hope. He still hasn't dropped that promise. It's become harder for him to fufil but he's still clinging to the fact that he promised Sakura he'd bring Sasuke home even though she's kind of over Sasuke.
He knew she loved Sasuke then and maybe he was jealous, but he still promised to make her happy no matter what it meant. I think that's better than jumping in front of a bad guy and almost getting yourself killed.
That really doesn't make anyone happy, that scares the life out of the person you're saving because they think you're gonna die.
Just the smiles Naruto and Sakura exchange is enough to say they're really comfortable around each other.

I think that's important to a relationship is that both sides are equally in love. Not one side is a blushing obsessive and the other side is a friend zoner to his/her partner.


Personally, I ship NaruShika over NaruSaku so.....

Haha, what a great explanation Chu-chan! If I didn't already ship Naruhina, I'd go for Narusaku for sure. I like to pair the two of them together because, well for one they were the first Naruto pairing I had encountered (considering I was young and stupid when Naruto first came on CTN, I didn't know what in the world shipping was). Second reason is because I believe opposites attracts, and the two of them are certainly different. I find Naruto's and Sakura's personality too similar to each other and I believe that they care for each other as siblings. Naruto promised to bring back Sasuke not only for Sakura, but also for himself. They are his friends, his family. I'm sure he'd be d*mned before he'd left his family break apart.
I understand that Naruto thinks of Hinata as only a friend, which is why this picture is totally relevant. Not only is it extremely funny (maybe only to me), but it shows that there are people who do understand that it's a one-sided relationship, but that doesn't make it impossible. There are many instances where a one-sided love becomes mutual, just as there are times when it stays one-sided. You can't just give up, especially when the outcome is still unannounced by Kishimoto. It's not uncommon for friends to become lovers. So if Sakura can move on from Sasuke, why can't Naruto move on from Sakura? It may seem unlikely, but it's not impossible.

Now for my shortish, sweetish rebuttal.

The whole opposites attract thing is huuuge.
But I don't think Naruto and Hinata are all that different actually. Hinata has the same ninja way that Naruto does and she likes ramen from what we've seen in fillers, she's just really really shy and stalkerish. I can't picture them ever getting into a heated conversation about ANYTHING. They would just keep agreeing with each other and eventually stop talking. There'd be no spice, only nice. That's another thing about why I don't ship them. They're not wild enough. I think Hinata would be too quiet and Naruto wouldn't know what the hell to do about it.
I go for couples that at least have a gap between them and so no matter how close they are, there's always something to go back and forth about. If Hinata constantly agrees with Naruto and nods along with what he says, it wouldn't be fun. That's also why I don't ship KibaHina either. Kiba's too loud, Naruto's too loud, Hinata's too quiet.
I think Sakura would always have something to say that's different from what Naruto would say.

They're total loud mouthes and they're sooo different interest-wise yet their personalities just click.
I can't see Kiba with someone quiet like Hinata. He's wild. He'd want to go out and drink and dance and party with a girl, not sit around a 3 star restaurant with one.
I think Naruto and Sakura are like that too. They'd have a blast just being as loud and proud as they freaking want to and not have to worry about what their friends say. Hinata has a high class overprotective clan.
Can you picture Hiashi's face if he found out Naruto took Hinata to a ninja nightclub?

But one more thing.
Did you really ask me if Sakura can forget Sasuke, why can't Naruto forget Sakura?

I definately get where your getting at Kibachu-san.*bows to you mastery of explanations* Personaly i sorta ship both options.I really only ship Hinata with him cause she does desearve sombody and the fact that she looks like i did when i was thin and my hair wasn't short,only i have green eyes with a ring of overpowering chocolate brown around the pupil thus making me a green/brown type hazel.Anyway you could easily have a very long rant war with my friend WolfDragonPlasma.Yup you could definately give her a run for her mney when it omes to going on and on and on about one topic.I ain't dissing that though caus i can rant to,though not as forcefully.Dang I'm rambling aren't I? I agree with you when you say that Naruto and Hinata aren't that different, because it's true. But what I meant was their main personality trait; Naruto is loud and Hinata is quiet. They may have similar likes, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll agree about everything. I believe that Naruto likes to talk, a lot, so if the two went to hang out Naruto would be talking most of the time. They don't need to have a heated conversation that borderlines arguing; having someone that'll willingly listen to you is just as endearing. Of course I'm sure Hinata would be extremely nervous and quiet at first, but that's because she's a weirdo who can be a little too introvert. Once she gets comfortable, like she is with Kiba and Shino, I'm sure the two of them will have normal conversations. Maybe even go as far as heated ones :3
I can't ship Kiba with Hinata either, even if he's loud like Naruto. Just like you said, Kiba's wild, but I don't think Naruto is. Naruto is more childish and selfish, while I see Kiba as the party boy. Ninja nightclubs (if such a funny sounding thing did exist) would be too impersonal for someone like Naruto. He cares a lot about his friends, so I can't see him in a nightclub with only a single girl. I think he's the kind of guy who'd want all of his friends to be included if he was going to go somewhere as public and indiscreet as a nightclub, because it sounds like more fun. I also don't see Naruto as the guy who'd go out and drink alcohol at that kind of place. I'm sure he'd do it with all of his friends around, having a few drinks with him. Also, I don't think Hinata would give two farts about what her father would think if Naruto had asked her to go to some ninja nightclub.
Yes, Chu-chan, I did ask you that. I don't believe Sakura gave up on Sasuke at all. Just because almost everyone agrees that Sasuke doesn't deserve any bit of happiness after betraying the Leaf doesn't mean Sakura thinks that. I'm not perfect, so I can't remember every Naruto episode/chapter, but I'm sure Sakura never announced or even thought of having any ill feelings for Sasuke. I remember when Sakura told Naruto that she loved him, so he should forget about Sasuke, but that was a lie. She wanted to stop Sasuke herself, to put an end to everything because she loved him. She didn't want to see the guy she loved hurting her friends, her family, and her home. I believe she felt that Sasuke went through enough suffering and hardship, and his current goal was just going to make life harder. I'm sure she didn't want to see the man she loves destroy himself over his own ambition. So, yes Chu-chan, I did ask you that because it is still a valid question. If you have proof, an episode or chapter where Sakura come out and admits that she has absolutely no feelings for Sasuke because "he's an angsty d**che that wants to destroy Konoha", then I'll admit that the question is invalid. But until then, it still stands. "if Sakura can move on from Sasuke, why can't Naruto move on from Sakura?"
