I've read the books, i don't remember much about them apart from the important bits (/ bits that have Frodo in them)
but i think she is vaguely mentioned somewhere, but not as much as she appears in the movies. (if that ast bit made sense :p)

Since she was not that important in he book, why couldn't Peter Jackson (sp?) have added Old Tom Bombadil and less elven drama? I liked Tom Bombadil!

Frodo's parents drowned. They weren't sure how, but there were rumours that his mom dragged his dad down with her or she drowned him, then herself or something.

I never liked Arwen much. There's something about her character that I just don't like. I told my mom, and now she thinks I'm jealous of Arwen because she marries Aragorn -_-

What happened to Frodo's parents?

Yes, they both died in a boating accident when the boat tipped over, and they (like most hobbits) couldn't. swim and thus drowned. Frodo was then taken in by his mother's relatives and adopted by Bilbo. C:
