I don't have a choosen crystal per say but I do have some favorites due to their properties and such.

I also don't have a chosen stone but I do well with some quartz, jade, emeralds, sapphire, onyx and a number of others. Stones generaly work well for me, I keep a small red felt bag with a few in it with me most of the time. Most of those are supposed to have calming and protective qualities. Quartz is most usefull as a amplifier, but I have used it for other purposes like dowsing.

Mhm..I just figured out that I do have Bloodstone,Tiger's eye, Amethsy, and possibly Amber added to my collection..theres three i'm not sure aobut though >.<. ones pink and seems to have alot of cracks in it and like veins..its all pink. well the other one is a dark magenta and theres alot of veins in it if you flip it, it switches color crom magenta and has a spot of a like moldy green thing. and the other one is like a dark orange gold with like dirtish colored earth slashes on it..it also has veins...I honestly have no idea what they are

if the pink one is translucent it might be rose quartz but its hard to say without seeing it. I would recomend looking for images of stones on a search engine and see if you can match them, alternativly you could take them to a store that sells stones or a museam of natural history a knowledgeabe person in one of those places shouldn't have a problem identifying them for you.
