Storm smiled as he and Redwyn went to go and find the bear. They had now lost the morning patrol.
Rain was stunned and turned around and saw Redwyn had left with Storm.
Blaze smiled and they found where the herbs were. "Quickly. " He barked, bear scent, filling up his nose. The bear is close, eaither a fox leaps away or a bit futher.

Jacqueline's eyebrows raised and her tail twitched again. She had seen a best only once, and it had ripped her best friend into bite sized pieces right before her eyes. She had been heart broken when that happened, and she wouldn't be happy if she saw a bear again. "I don't like bears.." But she sniffed the air and there wasn't the same musky scent of bear in the air. She raised an eyebrow at Greyjoy and realized he was testing her.

"Shhh!" Redwyn unnecesarrily hushed Storm in her excitement as the strange smell that the older wolves had described as "bear" hit her nostrils. "It is really close to here!" She whispered, moving at a quick gait as agile as her gangly barely-adult body would allow for. Slowing as the scent grew stronger, she didn't realize how far away they had gotten from the patrol.
Peering through a large clump of snow-covered brambles, Redwyn saw something huge and brown. A grizzly. Wide eyed, she looked at Storm, suddenly a little nervous. "We should go tell the others." She said softly. The snow beneath them was very icy and slippery, though, sloping down in a way that if one of them fell the bear would definitely see them.
Well. That was good, he supposed. Standing, Greyjoy shook the snow from his fur. The camp was empty, now, so he guessed it was just him and Jacqueline guarding it now. Guarding what, exactly, he didn't know. But it was the pack dens and it was definitely guarded. By him.
"What is your name?" He asked her, feeling the need to shake the strange thoughts entering his head out of the weirdness of being alone in camp. Even the alpha had left. There were no pups, elders, or expectant mothers to guard, though. Then again the fresh kill pile could attract the bear or large cats. So that was something to guard, he supposed.

Storm ran up besides Redwyn. He nodded. "You go tell the others. You might loose it on your way back here." Storm whispered, looking at her exited eyes. He looked down the slippery hill where the bear was. He sneezed, but luckily the bear didnt hear it.

(Hitting the sack, now. Night, guys!)
"Jackie." He tested the name, rolling it over his tongue almost like a flavor. As she did not ask for his name, he did not give it. "So, Jackie." He said, trying to break some of the silence. "What brought you to this pack?" Her history, perhaps. A bit pushy of him but it was something to talk about. And he was still trying to get a good feeling for her.
Wondering where Iris and the alpha had wondered off to, Greyjoy settled down comfortably in the snow, figuring if they were going to be there for a while there was no reason to stay too formal. Dark eyes darted around camp as he spoke to her, using all of his senses to keep alert. All they needed was a surprise attack now.
"What?!" Redwyn squeaked, a little too loudly. Quickly laying her ears back against her head in fear, she checked to see if the bear had noticed. It made a strange grunting noise but kept snuffling in the snow, either ignoring or not noticing them. "That is silly." She hissed, quieter. "We are supposed to stick together!" Besides, she wasn't about to miss out on the fun and danger and let Storm take all the credit! Narrowing her eyes at the other young apprentice, Redwyn stubbornly waited for another solution. It was only a matter of time before the bear noticed them but that wasn't high on Redwyn's danger list, absorbed in not letting Storm win this one.

Storm sighed. "Your right." He said, looking at Redwyn. "I'm gonna try to led the bear away. Come if you wish too." Storm said then poked his nose of of the bush and slid down; crying his battle cry; yarrrr. Storm leapt up on to his paws and barked, making the bear turn around. Storm flicked his ears. "Uh-oh.. What have I done." Storm said mostly to himself.

Iris nodded, right away understanding what he was talking about. She stayed low and stuck close to Blaze, brushing up against him now and again. Iris sniffed the air, the bitter scent of bear filled her nostrils.
Stone saw what Rain saw and growled "what do they think they are doing?" He pinned his ears. Soon after he heard Storm's battle cry "fox-dung!" He yelped and ran off towards the sound. He saw Storm and the bear, running as fast as he could. He stood between Storm and the bear, his hackles raised and his teeth bared.

The question stunned her. She had never been asked about her past and she didn't like to talk about it. But since this wolf was so curious, she decided to tell him. "Alright, well it's kind of a long story...but I'll shorten it up so I don't bore you to death." She smirked. "I really didn't know my parents, except that they were the alphas of my birth pack. And I remember that they....died in a thunderstorm. And hunters came along one day." She sighed and lowered her head to the snow. "The memory is all blurry and this happened long ago, but I know that my brother sent me to safety before the hunters could get to me. I don't remember his name...but I haven't seen him since." Jacqueline didn't want to think that her only brother was dead, but it was highly possible that he was a fur rug right now or a scarf for a rich lady.
Trying to change the subject, and realizing she had been so rude to not ask of his name, Jacqueline asked "I forgot my manners. What's your name?" She settled in the snow next to him
((sleepy time for me now.))

A new scent flew up Blaze's nostrils, they scent of wolf and bear mashed up together. "This is bad.. Very bad.." He growled, to himself before turing the way the scent came from. "Go back to camp, I have a bear to deal with." And with that, he charged off in the dirction of the bear and wolves. It smelt like two or three. He ran straight passed Redwyn and he stummbled down the icey -hill to see Storm, Stone and the bear. Blaze tensed his musels and ran besides Stone. "Lemme' guess; my cousin cried his batt;e cry and you came thrashing down the hill to saver his butt?" Blaze said.
Storm whimpered. "I'm sorry! Let me help you, Stone. Please." He said then saw his uncle comming down the hill. Storm looked up at the bear who was just going to throw its self at Stone and Blaze.
