Serena sighed as she sat down on the bench close to the pond, deep in thoughts. She faintly heard somebody calling her name, and assuming the person knew who she was, he would easily find her due to her hair color. Serena sighed as she stared at the pond. She felt bad about the argue with her sister. The girl took off her mask and gently laid it down beside her, rubbing her eyes. She didn't feel like dancing anymore. Serena sighed as she rested her head in her hands, thinking.

Dimari nodded at his first reply,but his second."A year,so?A year ago,I was only 15 with no beauty at all,but now I'm a prosperous girl of 16 with beauty,and noticeability.Things change quickly,sir if you hadn't noticed,especially the line between war and peace, "She paused with her rant,"And my place....My place is nothing but a title,I don't want it.I have no power over my own life,and my future.I can't even decide when I step outside,As for the bonding of two people,I'm all for but marriage should be about love,not arrangement and fake love...It should be about your heart not politics."

The prince snorted at her claim. "You're sixteen with beauty? I hadn't realized. Here's a tip, Princess. Don't flatter yourself." he said, shaking his head in annoyance and striding away. This girl was starting to sound like a buzzing pest in his ear.

Stopping in his tracks at her last exclamations, Tristan turned to face her, his eyes obviously showing his irritated mood. "For your information, Princess, you're wrong. When the lives of so many depend on you, you must sacrifice your heart not for politics, but for the wellfare of the people. You see, the people come first. But you are right, you have no power. So what good are your ideas doing? I bid you farewell.. Princess Dimari Carter." he said, smirking as he recalled her name. She had been quite annoying when they were children as well. Tristan turned and strode out the grand ballroom doors, taking a back flight of stairs he discovered, and exiting outdoors into the welcoming company of the peasants.

Hearing a soft sigh from his right, the prince crept past a blanket of frosted winter flowers, the full moon causing the delicate ice to sparkle. Searching for the vivid color he knew he would find, he pushed past two marble statues, entwined in a lover's dance, and finally found her. She was sitting on a bench, facing a lily pond. Her mask had been discarded beside her, and he moved to do the same. Taking a seat beside her, he pulled his mask off, and leaned back on his arms. "Serena, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice soft. KC gently placed a warm hand on her shoulder, trying to ease her back into comfort. She seemed most distressed about something. "I know I left things pretty bad, but please tell me." KC and Serena used to be the best of friends, maybe even more than that. But he had ruined their friendship the day her betrothal was announced. He had made a big scene right here, in the same spot they were sitting in. He had broke it off, and hadn't visited Elyadon since. Her feelings about him were probably pretty torn. KC had guessed so.

Serena looked up when she heard his voice, barely recognizing it. She soon saw KC sitting next to her, which surprised her. She thought Nick or Tristan would have been searching for her when she heard her name. His hand somehow managed to comfort her, probably because she knew she could trust him. Or well, she hoped she still could after what had happened a few years ago. "...I had an argue with Arabella. Again." she said softly.

Tristan & Dimari - have been talking about politics near a window in the ballroom. Tristan has just ended the conversation and has left her. He is now escaping outside.
Alexander & Crystal - have been flirting in the gardens.
KC & Serena - are in the gardens, alone, and talking.

Tristan, who is outside with the peasants.
And there's a lot of people who haven't posted in a long time. I would recommend, for them, that they should post whether or not their character is available.

Dimari rolled he eyes."What would he know."She said,"How are you to give up your heart and life when your people do not cherish you.How are you to give it up when they despise you?"She asked no one in paticular,"And no power what so ever,hmfp...I'll show him,I'll show this she kingdom in fact."She muttered before storming to he room and growing the mask off.She grabbed a quill,ink,and parchment,before writhing down a few notes,and smirking."No power,eh?"She said,"Now just to find that woman".She called for a maid,whispering a few words into her ear."I need you to find the town wit- and bring her here so we may speak about a.."She looked around,"a spe-...Understood?"The maid nodded and went in search of the woman she had sent for.

Now it was KC's turn to sigh. Arabella and Serena had been getting in fights since birth. The two of them were know for disagreeing with each other. "May I ask what about?" he asked, keeping his voice toned down. He hoped she had forgiven him for what happened the last time they spoke. That was a year ago. When they were even more young and naive.

Serena looked at him. "I believe that's none of your concern at the moment." she said softly. "You just think you could walk back into my life after what has happened?" Something none of her siblings knew was that she hadn't been torn apart from her engagement, but of KC's reaction. The first days she had just been sitting in her windowsill, desperately hoping to see KC. Since her guard was fired at that time, she couldn't go to Avalon herself to see him. They had been more as friends, and Serena had never felt any different about him. She had even wished KC would be the eldest prince. Every knight who returned from Avalon, she asked about KC. And then she heard the stories. That he seemed to have forgotten her. And that was what had broken the girl. Not his reaction on the announcement. Not the scene he made, but the fact he never said goodbye.
