I stared through the window in awe.
Dad...? I whispered to myself. He looked over, and something was in his hands. Was that a... Oh fujon it is.
I jumped down, just as the gun shot. I glanced back up on a haystack, and same him running at me. I jumped behind the haystack, quivering.
Hide! I growled at the other three. Shiver and Rusty exchanged glances, and the darted behind a bale. Fox darted over and hid behind a barrel. Suddenly, I heard a loud clatter, and the sound of someone breaking in the jail. Fox darted over, hiding with me. D-8 Uncool, man.
He stormed in, pointing the gun at one of the friends- the one that had fewer flames.
Where is she?! he barked.
The friend pointed feebly over at the cell Fox and I were in. I pressed against the stack as lightly as I could, but then hay flickered onto my nose. Oh fujon.
I forced myself not to sneeze. Oh, I have to be allergic to hay. -_- I pushed it out of the way with my pencil, but I still had the urge to sneeze. I was getting really cold- fast. So, apparently there's TWO kinds of hay=fever. I've now experienced both. Whoo. Ho. NOT.
I don't see her!I'm sorry sir, but she was in here! he barked, snarling.
Fox glanced at me, and I glanced back in horror. I held my place, and scribbled something on another page, that said this in the color I speak in. ^^
That's my dad! I don't know what he's doing! Fox nodded in horror, scared. For once, I was ok with him pressing against me. I was cold- I needed the heat. We were both scared- we both needed comfort.
JUST OPEN THE CELL! he shouted at the guy, cussing in his face. Fox and I exchanged glances. Um... a guy ho cusses and is about to come in here, looking for me with a gun? I think he's DRUNK!!!
I could've sworn when the gate opened, the heat dropped about 20º lower. I shivered, scared, praying my dad couldn't see me. He glanced around, and then stormed over to the haystacks. I held my breath, forgetting everything but the will not to be seen. He then looked over where Fox and I were. He narrowed his eyes at us.
Who are you?! he barked.
F-Fox, Fox said, scared.
Why do you care?! I snarled, narrowing my eyes.
He grabbed my throat.
I said, WHO ARE YOU?!A-Alex, I choked. He slammed me back down on the floor.
Do you two know anyone with the name of Cesta?!We both shook our heads, and then he narrowed his eyes.
Well, we'll see. He then pointed the gun at us.
TELL ME THE TRUTH! he barked. I don't know what drove me to it, but I kicked the gun out of his paws, and then grabbed it.
Fox, go! Get Shiver and Rusty out, the gate's unlocked! Fox nodded, running out. He knocked out the guards and opened all the dogs' cells, and they all ran out.
I then looked back at my dad, holding the gun to his forehead.
I guess now I can tell you anything, because you can't do nothing about it!He glared at me.
I wouldn't be so sure on that, Cammy!I snarled, forcing him back.
First off, that's nowhere close to my name. Second, guess what? I am Cesta! Now, if you will, what did you do to my mom?!He grinned.
Well, nothing. She just decided we couldn't keep you! That's a lie and you know it! A voice snapped, surprising us both.
MOM?!Fox glanced in.
Alex, they're all out! I glanced at him.
Good. I glanced at my mom, and ran over to her.
Here, I said, handing it to her.
Force him outside. If he does anything cocky, do as you please. She smiled at me.
I will, Alex, she said, looking at me.
Then, I'll have some explaining to do to you. Grinning, she took my place.
I ran to the exit, then something fluttered past me, so bright it almost blinded me. I grabbed it, and saw what it was. A golden scarf! Ginning, I ran out of the jail, the scarf flying around me.
~ { ~ } ~ { ~ } ~
The sunlight nearly blinded me. I watched in awe as everyone filed out of the cells, laughing in joy.
I SAID DON'T MOVE!Alright, alright!! Dad shouted, glaring at her. I laughed, looking at Fox, who was grinning. Suddenly, I looked over, and spotted something.
Fox! Alex! You can come with us! Rusty said, looking over. I sighed. I guess the explanation could wait.
Alright, Alright! I called out, looking in my mom's direction. She looked at me, and beckoned me to come over.
Go with them. I'll explain soon, I promise, Cesta.I smiled at her.
Alright. I love you, Mom, I said, smiling at her. She smiled, back, then I ran to my friends, and the scarf flew off. Fox grabbed my paw to keep me from going back.
But it was the first bright thing I've seen in forever! He shook his head and dragged me with them. The wind suddenly picked up- hard. I watched in horror as it blew my journal away.
No! I shouted, but Fox dragged me with them.
YAY! I'm done. I think this took me... 25-30 minutes to write. Haha, more soon! Like, today soon
